From the coach not letting you play at all to the first pair in 5 months. Solid progression.

Please tell me this is a one time promo and they auction these ugly blobs of plastic off after the game for a good charity cause.

Russell looking like an AHL replacement player. Things need to either settle down or the Oil need to start shopping for a blueliner. Super thin.

Instinctively put your hand on a guys shoulder for a fraction of a second as you're both off balance falling towards the boards with it having zero effect on the players ability to do anything = hold. And of course it ends up with a 5 on 3 later.

edit: great kill

- seems unpopular opinion but I like the gold helmets
- Hyman fits in great, I cant remember the last time a UFA made me so happy so fast.
- Keith has been ok most of the time but man he leaves Ceci out to dry at least 2 times a game

It’s very weird seeing Russell wearing number 6...

At least there’s no Patrick Russell on this roster anymore.

The strategy of letting teams shoot from the outside is less effective if they score on a lot of tips.

It does appear McDavid does not need his Drai 5v5. Keep working on that 2nd line Tip. At home too.

Edit: Ah nice, Drai line goal :)

Now he draws a penalty. A productive Yamamoto makes this team very dangerous.

Could be wrong but I think it’s not uncommon among goalies around the league to not wear one.

I’ve never took notice, but they’ve been around forever. I pick up on it on in rec. it looks odd. Seems like it’d be comparable to not wearing a can.
