Bowman said recently that it looked worse than it really was. Must still be a concussion though so he’s still out for the tournament.

He also said he has been texting with Bouchard. "Texting"?? Your 26 year old 90 point superstar dman has a career threatening injury in a joke tournament - maybe you take the time to mix in a phone call
"Worse than it really was" is an idiotic thing for a GM to say the day after that hit happens and makes no sense at all. He was out cold before he hit the ice so it was pretty much exactly as bad as it looked. Maybe Bouchard is one of those people that bounces back and is fine in a few weeks or months but I guarantee you Stan Bowman doesn't know that based on texting him. Either way they better be sparing no expenses to make sure he's seeing the Crosby doctors or whoever and taking as much time off as he needs to. Coming off a concussion in the playoffs and now this. There's no guarantee he's ever the same.

At least there is no pressure to get back on the ice. Lots of time to let the brain heal.

One thing to add. Mixed in all the injury talk post-season, it seems some media ran with an idea Bouch had a concussion in playoffs. Bowman was asked about that a couple weeks ago and said it was false. So shouldn't be a repeat concussion situation for Bouch. Still scary, but at least not the 2 concussion in a short period of time situation like Crosby's career got derailed by for years.
