Chiarelli to Holland was an upgrade
Holland to Bowman was a downgrade

Holland had two big misses with Nurse and Campbell that still haunt us, but I'd much rather he stayed rather than bringing in Bowman.

That said, I'd still much rather see a better GM than the three that we have had. But based on what's been talked about in the media, it sounds like they'll keep Bowman and fire Knobs. *facepalm*

Oilers GM's since McDavid has been like a tallest midget contest. Holland probably got the best years of McDrai's careers. 2023 was maybe our actual best chance to win a cup, but Holland having no balls to get players on board to use LTIR put us at a big disadvantage to teams that did use it. Wonder how we would have done last year if we didn't use LTIR to get Walman. Walman struggled this year, but he was a huge factor in us getting to the finals last year. Of course Florida used the power of LTIR to get a couple guys that really burned us in the finals.

It's funny, cause if Holland did LTIR Yamamoto and Kane in 2023 and added a D and maybe even a goalie and we won a cup that year, the loophole would have maybe been closed 2 years earlier, totally handicapping what Florida did to be able to win their cups. Maybe coulda won 1 or 2 more ourselves. AH WELL!
