They think they need a hardass coach now, and Berube would be that to the max. But, Berube has some pretty weak performances as coach outside of 1 year that a rookie Binnington stole games for him all the way to a cup win. We don't have a rookie Binnington around here.

Berube is fire and brimstone.. but I suspect limited tacticly.. other than Cassidy I don't really see a clear choice out there any better or equal to him..

I don't think anyone who watched any of this season with the Leafs should be in a hurry to give Craig Berube a coaching job. Yes, the Blues won the Cup with him once, but man - he looked completely lost in Toronto - even before he brained himself with the barbell.
He got nothing out of that team and I'm shocked he didn't get fired before Christmas. I would not be excited to see him hired here.
