No Cups

no D, no goaltending, same old story, need to make a significant changes to the balance of the roster
if 97 leaves without a Cup, it goes down in the pantheon of ineptitude and incompetence as him (and the core maybe) being one of the most mismanaged star players and rosters in the history of sports IMO
the positives: they have some assets, and clearly the team has been run into the ground this year, they need a break and a rest which they will get, and hopefully they come back hungry and refreshed
and in terms of history, or precedent rather, for generational “once in a lifetime” type players or HOF superstars struggling to get over the hump and win it all well into their careers… it can happen: Michael Jordan was (27/28), Kevin Garnett in Boston (32), Dirk Nowitzki (32), Stamkos (30), Steve Yzerman was 31/32 when he won his first, Lemieux had some struggles…
but overall, from the NHL, it’s not a very long list… they got to get moving… I wish I had more faith in Bowman and ownership…
