I would have wrote sooner about Jarry but I suffered a lower body injury writing it. Seems to happen quite a bit when I write about Jar... happened again..
Skinner should have been a solid number two, he was trust into the number one spot when he wasn't ready and got tainted by poor management. Should have left the tandem alone if there wasn't a good option.
Kulak, going to miss him, is Stansney better? I don't know. Nashville has been a tirefire.
Bowman is a terrible GM, these moves are lateral at best and consumes even more cap space.

Probably could have had Jarry much cheaper plus with retention if we traded for him in the summer. That would have looked like an insane risk though. There is a benefit to seeing what goalies are playing well into a season too.
I don’t know if replacing Skinner with someone playing well in net this year can be considered just lateral by default. Did we forget skinner mentally melting down twice last playoffs? Once the year before and again the year before that? How long can we keep gambling on a “starter” that mentally shuts down again and again when it matters most?
Should have addressed this years ago of course. New GM again gets to use the excuse of needing to understand his team and feels things out. It’s annoying as heck. But at least the effort was made now and I am not going to miss Skinner much. If Jarry is struggling, then we are forced to try again this summer. Basically like Colorado who just kept trying to find goalies again and again and now have 2 guys playing like solid starters. I’d take that over just sitting on hands with Holland.
If Holland was still GM, Skinner might have been inking his extension with us right now because of 2 weeks of finally playing well this season.
