MUCH better start. McDavid looks fired up, as does Kane.

Couple good saves early by Skinner.
I love putting McDavid out there for a quick shift against the 5F PP.

Letting the Queens score first is a death sentence. Now they're going to go into their stupid philly shell.

That was a pretty soft call against Kane. Refs are pretty inconsistent on what a penalty is.

PP looking pretty disjointed. Lots of perimeter play.
Still, a much better first period..

Weird that they didn't work on the PP this season. How many times did we hear that it would work out and that there wasn't anything to worry about? LA dominating special teams so far.
Great work, Knoblauch and coaching group. Way to go.

Kings are attacking much more actively against The Oilers PP as well. They were far too passive on pk last playoffs.
Kings have gotten better on special teams. Edmonton didn't expect LA to be winning Special teams battle 3-0 through 4 periods.

Quintin Byfield wears a gold 'Q' around his neck. To play hockey.
What an unbelievable bag. Please someone rip it off of him.

Super defensive play by Nurse. Completely leaves his position and then stands there as Byfield walks in alone on Skinner.
Skinner is a total sieve as well.
This team suckkssss.

Only Edmonton's coach is dumb enough to keep playing Nurse and Bouchard together when clearly Walman - Bouchard and Nurse - Kulak are better pairings.
Another coach that thinks hes the smartest guy in the room.

That one is more on Nurse than anyone. Both Skinner and Bouchard were left out to dry. I think Bouchard made the right choice, you have to take away the quick cross crease pass, especially with Skinner's history on that play.
It was a heck of a shot by Byfield but it would be nice to see Skinner bail out a mistake by the team once and a while.

Did you not see Nurse just completely abandon his defensive position? He was further north of the puck than all of the forwards. This team is so disjointed and LA is capitalizing every time.

You just know it’s gonna happen.
The Oilers will realize it’s actually the playoffs when they are down 3-0 in the series and all start pulling on the same rope.
And then literally kill themselves to win the next 4 games.

Why are we playing Bouch and Nurse together? That is too much defensive cluelessness for one pair against good players. That second goal was as bad as it gets. nurse chases up the boards and just stands there and lets the puck and his man just skate off away from him. Bouch plays it like a 2 on 1 and backs off way too much but how do you allow a 2 on 1 to be created off a scrum in your own zone?

Walman has been a nice addition for the Oil, however every other player added this offseason has been a total downgrade.
This team is cooked.
