Poor Hrudey. This one had to hurt.

His tongue had to hurt after being jammed so far up the Flames’ asses tonight.

OIL have not been a tire fire with a late lead anymore. No panic. No cheating for offense. Just a commitment to team defense.
...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

P. Chiarelli math.. T. Hall = A. Larsson, Yak= bag o'pucks (OK he got one right...) K. Russell = $4.1 M+NMC, G. Reinhart= M. Barzal + A. Beauvillier, J. Eberle = R. Spooner,

The only goal against (3 on 1) was caused by Nurse floating down to the Flame crease looking for offense.. you're up 1-0.. in a tight game.. pick your spots bud!

Poor Hrudey is looking for bright spots.. haven't heard a commentator spend so much time pumping the tires of AHL'er like he did with that Klapka guy.. poor Hrudey is grasping at straws now..

Some times you gotta break your own rules right? I said no watching during this run, but I couldn't not watch this one. A scrappy game for sure, but also one where I didn't fear the Calgary offence, more fear was we were missing too many chances and they'd scratch out a goal and then an EN at the end.
Fear not this team is grinding, I don't think we've played "well" since we went to Cali, but we keep finding wins and that's huge. I'm loving the aggressive McDavid we've had of late, in the past he'd have been trying to put the team on his back if things weren't going well or we weren't scoring. Now it's trust in others to score and do what you have to do to make life tough for the opposition.
The only negative was we got caught on the break away again, but if we can limit them we'll have a chance in any game going forward.
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers
take me home, country road

You know what’s funny?
They have Vegas to down on feb 6…. to set a new winning streak record….
Jackets, Chicago should have…
Nashville will be a fight due to standings….
Vegas the Achilles vulnerability….
then Ducks for the record….
