Boring game, not much fun to watch. That said a dub is a dub, first place baby.

honestly that's the most engaged i've felt in the dying seconds of an oiler game this year. Pretty complete game by the team.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

I didnt find it that boring. It wasnt high event run and gun hockey but lots of good plays.

Yeah that last minute was nice. I really thought the Jets were going to do it at the very end.

Some might think this was boring, but this was a solid game with a iffy tender.
Loved it. Tied for 1st for at least 21 hours.

For all the love Tipp shows to old, battlin' players I have noticed he has Jessa out there a lot at the end of games where we are up one.
While he has been decent offensively I am most impressed with the improvements JP made to his two way game since we last saw him in the NHL. He breaks up a lot of plays for a winger.

For the last 15 minutes, I was getting ready for a 3-pointer. Banking 2 without giving up the loser point is very nice.

Oilers pull to within a half game of the Jets and can potentially be tied for first by the end of Saturday night.

Games played is a big advantage for the Jets though. Gotta take Saturday’s 2 points

Not a chance. When they wake up tomorrow all we’ll hear is how they have 3 games in hand and Connor plays with Draisaitl.

That was Terry Jones. You can tell because it almost killed him to wheeze out those first two questions.

Wonder if "I'm a goals guy" Anthony Stewart is considering McDavid for MVP yet. Probably not, Matthews has better goals/game.

Kostko sav% now: 0.903
Markstrom sav%: 0.903
Kostko slowing climbing back from the brutal start. Hope he can find a way to keep it going.

Visually, they are a different .903
It might just be my perception, but we really tighten up our game when Mikko is in net.

You could tell both teams were gassed, but wicked huge win.
Take the points and run baby
In fairness to Hall, I've wanted to throw a waterbottle at Eakins all season.

Not the most exciting game to watch by any means, but that was very much a playoff style game. Few shots, few penalties, just grind it out against a fast physical team.
I am more impressed by this win than I was by the win against the Flames.
Is games played the #1 tie-breaker in the standings? I always thought it was ROW. Either way, tied for first baby!
I keep forgetting that we've been without our #1D this entire season too.
Edit: Forgot to mention: After a terrible start, how good has Adam Larsson been lately? He's playing fantastic. The way he started the season I figured he was trade bait for sure, but he's really turned it around.

A couple of interesting things I’ve just seen.
The Oilers have the most regulation wins in the entire League with 19 (Tampa Bay is 2nd with 17).
And since the Oilers have only had one game go into OT (a win against the Leafs) the entire season, they have the 7th most regulation losses in the League with 13.

Apparently this is the latest in the season with only one regulation tie that any team has gone in decades and decades.
