Promising. We avoided a blatant trip in front of the ref.

JJ took a trip down wobbly street. Got his eggs scrambled there.

Guessing concussion protocol. Could s been much worse not for that beauty beard.

10 pages of posts already. 70% of it is whining. 10% caveman posts. 20% good posting.

All Chaisson had to do there was put his shoulder into the Flame player coming the other way, used his stick instead, weak, dumb, move.

Yamo has to shoot there, Tanev lets him walk right down main street.. Yamo has to learn to take the shot when the pass isn't there.

JJ isn't a professional fighter. That was a fight he didn't have to take...

Then 97 gets tripped. Ref watching it all happen... Play on! Then a marginal trip against the OIL. 2 minutes. Prime example of different rules for McD and the rest of the league. boom

...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

I couldn’t believe the non call on the McDavid trip. Actually I could, we see it every game. He would have danced in around the D and gone in on Markstrom one on one.

refs are freaking embarrassing, its beyond incompetence, it has to be by design, they seem to consider themselves as the McDavid handicap, raising the bar on infractions vs McD to keep it "fair" to the plugs on the other teams. Plus the fact that Edmonton isn't a "first tier" NHL franchise, and their success isn't important to the NHL Corp vision of the future, results in us getting what we get.

You could see it in slo mo that as soon as he got hit the lights went out even though his eyes stayed open. That's pretty scary and the kind of punch that have anti-fighting folks wanting it banned altogether.

I wouldnt be surprised if the hit gets him a game or two but the scrambled brain will keep him out longer.

And to me, I don't think JJ was trying to hurt that player. It looked, in fact, that he was slowing down as he made contact. If the NHLPA was serious about player safety they would mandate "soft" elbow and shoulder pads. Any incidental contact on the hard plastic of player pads is a recipe for concussion. And it could all be easily mitigated. icon_cool

I don't know why JJ should get suspended, Turtle does that same move routinely and not even a fine.
But yeah, he got tagged on that last swing, he'll be out a couple weeks at least, same as Bear was... or worse.. he was in la-la land.. I'm thinking Kassian in for the rematch.
I'd bring up McLeod, Turris long term is way too scary, the season will slip out of view with him coasting 10 minutes a game.

Hahaha, it’s so tough to describe the style at CP but is you are bang on. Sometimes there is an odd post where a guy will come in and flex on random trivia to show his dominance and then it’s back to random one liners on what the flames should do.

Just got caught up, holy smokes JJ. Likely out Wednesday with a suspension after the shiver buuuut don’t think she’s gonna matter. He’ll be out awhile. Shame. He’d been playing solid lately.

I don't know why JJ should get suspended, Turtle does that same move routinely and not even a fine.
But yeah, he got tagged on that last swing, he'll be out a couple weeks at least, same as Bear was.
I'd bring up McLeod, Turris long term is way too scary, the season will slip out of view with him coasting 10 minutes a game.

Had he turned, left his feet, and hit Kylington’s head with his butt, no suspension. That’s the turtle.

That's the new turtle, which is really just the old Kronwall. Kronwall ended guys careers with that move.
The original Turtle was elbows, shoulder to head, like he tried to do on Kassian and got pummeled into his shell for. Turtle has the NHL Cloak of Immunity from suspension he must inherited from his fat old man.

P. Chiarelli math.. T. Hall = A. Larsson, Yak= bag o'pucks (OK he got one right...) K. Russell = $4.1 M+NMC, G. Reinhart= M. Barzal + A. Beauvillier, J. Eberle = R. Spooner,

Dougie was my favorite oiler while he was here, not a real fan of anyone wearing it. On the other hand though I wouldn't retire 38 so I guess its flair game

Hmm, don't like how that turned into a breakaway so easily. D bailing pretty quick before the puck is even over center.

That was on McDavid

And it's not the first time tonight that he's turned the puck over. This could be a very long night....
