Chaisson did nothing but destroy that PP. Horrible back pass then weak sauce on the wall.
Shorty. 2-1 Hawks.

It will be interesting to see if the next couple weeks don't result in Yamamoto as a fixture on the PP and Chiasson no more...

Special teams battle tonight.
Is Cave - Russell - Jujhar the worst line in the NHL?
Yamo has a lot of jam in front of the net and a lot of will. I'd swap him and Chiasson on the PP. Yamo reminds me of Paul Kariya.

Not bad OOT scoreboard tonight:
Leafs top Coyotes in OT
Wild trouncing Knights 4-0 right now.
Jets trailing Rangers 2-0 currently
And this is a four point game with the 'Hawks shockingly still in the race (although fading). Need to take advantage...

Wanna know what is really crazy about you comparing Isoroku Yamamoto to Kailer Yamamoto? "Isoroku" means 56 in Japanese. Isoroku got his name because his father was 56 when he was born.
Now what jersey number does Kailer Yamamoto wear??

What...was...Smith...doing...there?
That’s a tough save to make, no doubt. But that is a tough reaction for him to defend as well.

2nd time we had a 2 on 2 rush against and both guys just got at the passer and leave the shooter completely open.
Dumb team.

The question is: can this team keep outscoring its mistakes without Connor in the line-up?

Why is Drai on PK duty? Are they trying to burn him out before the end of this month?

Definitely not gonna keep happening. Pretty disappointing defensive efforts to start off games that we should know goals will be more sparse. Guess they are making up for it a bit with the extra effort in the offensive zone. Guess the mentality is the opposite of what I expected. These guys feel like they need to go all out trying to score, and whatevs for our zone :)

Nice game management powers to ignore Drai being tripped there. That could have been bad.

Does Drai really need to play PK? We can't make any kind of effort to keep him fresh while McDavid will be gone for 2-3 weeks? We don't have 4 forwards on this team that can handle the PK?

While I fully agree with you, I can make the argument for Tipp. With Sheahan in the box, Drai is the next best faceoff option. Don’t think Cave has had enough time with Tipp/Playfair to get the pk time yet, Haas hasn’t been used in that situation much if at all (I’m too lazy to check atm) and Gagner isn’t going to win you a draw against Toews.

Yeah, more reasonable on that one. I guess he may have been out for Sheahan's penalty in the 2nd too.
OK, rephrase maybe. Stop taking damn penalties Sheahan! :)
Without the PK time, Drai could have been down to 21:30. Unfortunately, had to tag 2 mins of PK time onto that to take him almost to 24 mins.
