I thought Draisaitl had just as many average or below average NHL games in January as great games, but the NHL disagrees.

https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-three-stars-of-the-month-januar y-2020/c-314519760

"Draisaitl led the NHL with 1.89 points-per-game in January (min. 3 GP), tallying 6-11-17 in nine games to boost his 2019-20 totals to 29-50-79 (51 GP), overtaking teammate Connor McDavid (27-50-77 in 51 GP) for the NHL lead in points and helping the Oilers (27-18-6, 60 points) post the best points percentage among Pacific Division clubs last month (.778). Draisaitl recorded at least one point in all nine games in January to extend his overall point streak to 10 contests dating to New Year's Eve (7-11-18), his second-longest run of the season (13 GP from Oct. 24-Nov. 19). The 24-year-old is the first Oilers player in 31 years to record multiple double-digit point streaks in a single season "

May he have a solid February, too, starting tonight.

Well, Leon did it.

https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-three-stars-of-the-month-februa ry-leon-draisaitl-mika-zibanejad-david-pastrnak/c-315739460

"FIRST STAR - LEON DRAISAITL, C, EDMONTON OILERS

Draisaitl led the League lead in scoring for February with 23 points (10-13-23) in 14 games as the Oilers posted a 7-5-2 record to maintain second place in the Pacific Division (34-23-8, 76 points). Draisaitl had at least one point in 10 of 14 games, including seven multi-point efforts highlighted by four-point outings Feb. 1 (0-4-4 at CGY) and Feb. 11 (1-3-4 vs. CHI). He notched goals in eight games - including two game-winners - and concluded the month with 2-1-3 on Feb. 29 against the Winnipeg Jets to reach the 100-point mark for the second time in his career (also 2018-19). One of seven players to post multiple 100-point campaigns for the Oilers, Draisaitl (65 GP) became the fastest player to reach the mark for Edmonton since 1989-90 when Mark Messier notched his 100th point in his 62nd game. The 24-year-old native of Cologne, Germany is in his sixth season all with the Oilers after being the third overall selection in the 2014 Draft. He currently leads the NHL in scoring with 102 points (39-63-102) in 65 games played."

If the Oilers could just find a couple of linemates for McDavid, it would be clear sailing for the Oilers.

I think I’ll wear my Draisaitl jersey to the PA Raider game tonight.

In my wildest dreams I didn’t see this happening. Truth be told, I was jealous of the Panthers when they got Ekblad.

Good idea! Represent.

This does not fall under my “g2k neutral jersey code of ethics” as there is true meaning for this representation.

Yeah, we need a neutral jersey czar. I can't imagine what would inspire some people to make the decisions they do. Oh a Canucks jersey at an Oilers / Jets game? Sorry sir, that goes into the furnace as per edict #1 of the JERSEY CZAR.

An Oilers Draisaitl jersey at a PA game is fine.
