2-0 after 6m? 3 saves on 5 shots? Awesome. Why are we so bad all of a sudden?

Just horrendous. This team looks like it has given up. They don’t trust our goaltending at all. That could kill a team.

Oh Lord. 3-1 and could easily be 4-1 if not for the post. Rocking that .600 save %

I haven't watched a single game this year, but it doesn't sound like I'm missing anything at all

Battle of the shooter tutors tonight or what? Seems like every other shot on net goes in.

You really aren’t missing anything. It’s 3-2. The offense is trying , but this goaltending kills us

From the pre-game thread:

From Stauffer:

Quote:

Podkolzin-Draisaitl-Mangiapane
Frederic-Henrique-Hyman
Janmark-Tomasek

Nurse-Bouchard (Let the Hilarity Commence!)
Ekholm-Kulak
Walman-Regula
Emberson

Crap news about Philp and Lazar..

Quote:

Bob Stauffer@Bob_Stauffer
According to @EdmontonOilers Head Coach Kris Knoblauch both Noah Philp and Curtis Lazar both will be out for the remainder of the road trip with Upper Body injuries.
EDM has limited cap space so they will go 11-7 for the next few games

Against all odds, that Nurse/Bouch pairing is +2 in a 3-2 game (can't find a shrug emoji)

I know it is easy to pick a scapegoat but it isnt always Skinner's fault's. The first goal Kulak doubled down by losing the battle in the corner and his guy got the puck out. Then he lost the race to the net so couldnt get position and his guy scored. Skinner saved a screened, tipped shot, cant ask for more.

The third one was the only one I think he had a chance on.

I went back during intermission and watched all three GA. You could argue that Kulak made an error on ALL THREE.

I have said before that blaming one guy for a GA is not usually right. There are often multiple errors when sitting in the film room. With that in mind, Kulak would definitely lead the team in GA errors if you looked at all of the goals against this year. Considering he brings next to no offence, he is my pick for a trip to the press box.

Definitely disappointing & concerning, considering he's been one of our most reliable d men the past few seasons

Nurse must have been reading fan comments about him in social media again.

Losing to a goalie who's at .778 SV% for the game. Sounds about right.
We can barely win when our goalie posts a 0.8 SV% so not unexpected that we're behind.

To be clear, I'm not blaming that 100% on our goalies. We've left our goalies out to dry SO MANY times this year, but at some point you'll hope they make a save.

The players play like they know they are doomed with any mistake they make, which unfortunately just leads to more mistakes because they are way too conservative.

And our goalie plays like he's trying to convince himself he's still awesome and nothing is ever his fault, because if he lets any doubt creep into his mind he will fall into a chronic depression.

It's all gumdrops and rainbows around this team these days!
