Ryan is a total pushover when trying to play against a big team like Vegas. He seems small and a step slow.
The Oilers need to upgrade 4C for this playoffs.

Zero goals this year as well.. when Hyman, Arvy get back he might be watching.
J Skinner is pretty ineffective as well.. not very fast.. I dunno.. expected more.. his resume includes "skating" .. maybe good edges.. but not especially quick or fast.. poor with puck possession..
McDAVID! Oh YEAH Baby!!
Tic-Tac-Tao!
Keep on Rockin' in the Free World
P. Chiarelli math.. T. Hall = A. Larsson, Yak= bag o'pucks (OK he got one right...) K. Russell = $4.1 M+NMC, G. Reinhart= M. Barzal + A. Beauvillier, J. Eberle = R. Spooner,

Holy Jesus Leon. What a terrible play... and Stu NEEDS to have that dribbler. My god.
How does Stu give up that goal?
The only reason why they were in that situation was because of Leon's truly terrible play though.
Stu looks totally not confident. Hertl pumps one off the post...
Ughhh.... this is looking like the bad version of this team so far.

Absolutely stupid play by Leon agreed. Skinner needs to have that though. Is it too much to ask him to bail us out. Hell that isn't even a bail out. That's a simple save. Frick I'm tired of him

Don’t really get what ek and drai were doing on that play. Drai staking right into double coverage and ek passes to him. Drai tries a deflection back to Bouch since he is about to get double checked but fails badly. But in the end it turned into a pretty weak shot on goal but still a goal. Sigh.

Well. Not the best periods offensively. But Vegas didn't look great either

Barbashev. Acquired using scam LTIR space. Picked with an Oilers draft pick we traded. This guy seems destined to own and troll us forever.

Thought I could make it. Bla. Have to be up in less than 7 hours. Better get some sleep. I better wake to a good looking scor favoring the oilers.

Leon's having a brutal game. That flurry from Vegas was almost single-handedly continued by a sequence of bad positional and puck play from Drai.
He's been so much better this season as well. Hopefully he's purged some of this nonsense with giveaway after giveaway in the first half of this one. One was so bad that he almost scored on his own net.

Great reaction save by Skinner there. Too bad the shooter was Drai lol

Nice big chunks of open net to shoot at multiple times. No one wants to do it. Or just can’t. Thought Connor Brown at least had a good shot but whiff on a couple golden opportunities

Finishing has plagued the vast majority of this team this season. No surprise to see it continue, but something's got to give for the Oilers in this period. If they go into the third down, Vegas will very likely take the win. Best third period team in the NHL so far.
Hopefully Leon can make up for his poor play in this game, and can come up with a timely goal. As well, hoping Stu can make a really big save to make up for the dribbler he let in.
The Oil have 12 shots through two periods. Not even close to good enough against a very good defensive Knights squad.

The shot clock is hilarious tonight. I swear we have been given 6 or so shots that were later subtracted. The counter seems to not believe that we have just whiffed and missed the net completely on some great chances without checking a replay closely.
Refs letting Vegas get away with endless hooking plays. Many blatant. I guess this is supposed to be a playoff preview game. Testing if the fans can stay awake.

Adin Hill must have a mansion built in the heads of our players by now. 0.894 sav% this year but his night is playing out against us just like that playoffs series years ago. Passing up great chances with needless passes, limp wrist shooting or just missing side open nets.
Better figure out how to evict Hill from living in everyone's head before playoffs.

I wonder how refs decide that one specific game will just be a no rules, anything goes night of grabbing and hooking with no penalties. Do they do a draw and pick 20 games at the start of the year? Or save it for what the league things are specific rivalry games?

How many shutouts against will this be so far this season? 3? 4?
Lots of try, but ZERO finish.
