Great game so far! The Oilers had to know that LA was going to come out like a house on fire, looking to stomp our squad into next season.
Another awesomely-timed Leon penalty puts the team down one. Excellent.
Maybe the boys will show up now.
They played like junk through the latter two periods against San Jose, so they are due for a curb-stomping by an actual legitimate contender.

The Oilfans sarcasm detector has been broken lately so I want to be clear; this is a serious question.
Is every penalty a bad one or just Draisaitl's?
You started off complaining about early penalties, then I think you switched to lazy penalties after the early thing was wrong, now it is just poorly timed.
He hasn't played well tonight, I would even say the second penalty he took was a dumb one, but the first penalty was a pretty common hockey penalty.

Skinner with 2 big saves on a sequence, then that goal goes in. Oilers got nothing on offense. Could be one of those nights. I'm gonna go ahead and do something else, it worked last 2 games of the NY trip.

Good news is at this rate we end up with 6 shots.
Unfortunately that good news is only for LA
Miss the grit of Kane I would say

Agreed, Kane hasn't been great this year but this kind of game is why you have him on the roster.
The Kings are manhandling the Oilers so far.

Wow... the boys really came out firing on all cylinders in this one. 2 shots on net almost halfway through the game.
Talbot's coasting to a ridiculously easy SO.

This couldn't have been timed better! Seconds before a nice PP goal by the Oilers.

I don't think there is a player I like to see upset more than him. It sucks he is so good as hating doughty would be more fun if he got turnstiled 15 times a game

Agreed. 1st period was domination by the Kings and the 2nd started that way. Every minute that goes by now the momentum seems to be moving in the Oilers favor.

No matter how bad the Oilers play, whether it is for one period, one game or one month, watching the superstars will always be fun. Not to mention give them a chance to come back from most deficits.

Doughty getting lots of the Shane-Doan-Old-Douchebag free passes tonight. Hate that guy.

Agreed. We are very fortunate to see Connor Brown in his prime

Contract blunder aside he hasn't been playing bad hockey lately. I am actually starting to feel bad for the guy. He seems to be doing a lot of good things so hopefully he breaks through soon.

Think he was just all grindy speed and some spurts of lucky shooting, and he's lost the speed with the brutal injury. But for sure, since the cost is sunk, it would be wonderful if he could start producing again.
