Zero doubt that would be the result after the Jets tied it up. Actually had decent pressure to start that OT frame, but it was a foregone conclusion.

So do we even win 1 at this point? What a let down. Chicago last year there was all sorts of excuses for, but this? What a kick in the nuts.

Holland has to make shoring up the defence and bottom six forwards a priority in the offseason. This collapse came down to their deficiencies in both areas.

Just bottom 6? Looks like bottom 9 needs a fix. Absolutely must get 1 or 2 solid top 6 wingers

I’d like to see them get a top-pairing D-man first, as Bear really should be pushed down to being a number seven in this line-up.

They really only have 2 top 4 D, Larsson and Nurse.

Its a series like this that unveils your team's true failings.

The problem is that the top 6 needs a serious upgrade - at least one more good player, and we still need a real goalie.

Holland's complete failure in building the bottom half of the team - all of whom have been signed, traded for or re-signed by him during his tenure - is a big reason we are where we are. And now that guy is the one we need to fix this this summer... doh

Here's hoping for the dramatic comeback. It will completely crush Winnipeg if we come back from this and we do still have McDavid and Draisaitl...

Of course the Oil come out and show that they are capable of........ a massive, massive choke job.

I wanted to say that they were capable of righting the ship and getting a big, timely win... but that absolute collapse is inexcusable. This team and its leadership just doesn't have it.

This team looks dead in the post-game pressers. They are going to get smoked tomorrow.

4th line Sparks the comeback. Out there there for the finish.

So ugly

I don't normally blame Connor for much... But thanks to that awful play in his own zone, that leads to the tieing goal... We are now down by 3.

Fire Dave Tippett, fire Ken Holland.

The lack of modern day thinkers in this organization unfortunately can even drag down the cheat code that is Connor McDavid.

Singh commented on the blender with 14 minutes to go. I text my buddy "Oilers need a TD to win."

Tippett starts trying to hold the lead and playing the trap after seeing that offence is winning the game.

Archibald gets even for the high stick not called. Ice tilts.

Smith goes Koskinen for a second, then goes back to being Smith.

McLeod has no idea where his position is on the ice. 14, 15, 16 fade over the course of the game.

Until Khaira scored that goal I thought he was pretty weak sauce entire game, faceoffs were 25%, MacLeod was 17%, Haas was 29%, even LD was only 42%.

Until 15 took the penalty, I thought he played strong, but that's all it takes man, he's a vet, should have known better.

MacLeod missed center assignments all game, lucky they didn't all result in goals, I think that's why Tippet moved RNH in at center, moved MacLeod to wing.

Well.. on the BRIGHT side.. we have a top forward line in McD LD and JP.

JP growing by literally leaps and bounds game to game, it'll be interesting to see how much better he gets next year. Holloway is coming..

Hey I'm trying to find some positivity!!

Kassian played better with McDrai tonight than 13. I like Puljujarvi but this was his weakest game....probably from carrying the team thorugh 2 games.

I would give Nuge 4.5M for what he brings, but Seattle with throw 6M at him easily to be their top center surrounded by unprotected expansion draftees. This would be the perfect series for him to step up and make a difference but not seen it.

I love Nuge, but this ain't working and he doesn't seem like he's in a rush to re-sign here.

The Oilers could have built a competent team had they dared to get a little creative, or not wasted money on Turris Chiasson Kassian while swinging and missing on their other low cost bets.

IF, and I know it’s a big IF, they just could have steered this one home, up by 3 with just over 8 minutes to go, McDrai finally going - I would have liked our chances at 2-1.

I guess adding Kulikov wasn’t the magic formula for the Cup...

I'd be more mad about khaira taking key draws if I didn't know that when we load the top line the only other options are nuge or Haas if mcdrai are tired.

Well. Now on to hoping Holland can wheel and deal his way to fixing this lineup. Of course remembering that Holland has never ever shown the ability to wheel and deal.

If you cant bring home a 4-1 game when you're down 2-zip in the series you deserve this, Oilers. Your fans don't, but you do. Good times turned to epic fail. What a damned letdown, again.

I hope Bobby Nick's has a good presentation ready for mcdrai to keep them positive this summer.

Best avoid bringing up how we just had the 2nd line C of our team in the playoffs being a rookie that barely even looks competent in the NHL. Might create a little doubt about how things are going to go in the future

Get Bear off the top line.
We need some top 6 forwards and brick the bottom 9 badly.
What a bunch of bums.

Bear has a lot of potential, but he's not realizing it right now. He regressed this season.

Bad penalty by Archibald...way too many giveaways by Bear all game...and why couldn't he sacrifice the body on Winnipeg's 2nd PP goal?

Ehlers was buzzing around all game and thought he wouldn't be rewarded for his efforts until say Games 4 & on...too bad he had two this one including the GW. Why did he have to pick this series to finally break his playoff underachieving curse?

Getting the US broadcast, guys in the intermission studio being Keith Jones & Patrick Sharp were total homers for Edmonton giving Winnipeg very little credit...not to mention this team is getting NBC Sports coverage giving the audience here more exposure to the Oilers....and this team is still crapping the bed.
