Gotta love that stock footage of Rogers Place. It’s not even dark outside yet! Gotta cater to the east in every way possible I guess. icon_wink

When jerseys go bad....

Can't see the Leafs numbers and the Oilers look like lollipops.

They come out and play a great first 10 mins of hockey against a really good team and y'all are still complaining. This place is a cesspool of negativity.

It's a bastion of realism. None of us want the team we follow to lose, but pointing out their flaws is simply stating what we are observing. I don't see a 3-6-0 record in a shortened season as something to be optimistic about, but maybe I'm just crazy.

Those Leafs' 3rd jerseys look really dumb. It really makes what the Oil are wearing right now look like the height of fashion in comparison.

How hard is it to get to the center line before deflecting the puck into the opposing zone to avoid icing? Pulji, you have to better than that, man.

I think the Oilers jerseys could look good...if they had the main colour on the numbers as the blue with the orange outlines, and blue pants. The orange pants - I am not a fan.

Good start to the game though. Forwards doing a great job coming back to lift sticks and steal pucks. Some good chances too...although I would be happier if Ennis and Archibald had buried their chances...

If I was buying a jersey, I would buy an orange one, but I hate how they look on the ice/TV.

I wouldn’t buy the style I’m seeing on the ice tonight, but I prefer to view them on TV than those orange garbage bags.

They went 7-1 in their first 8 last year, and I didn't see anyone planning the parade. It's early.

After years of failure, who should be planning anything with a good start?

And as I write this, Nylander makes Neal look like a goof before deking Koekkoek to tie up the game. Stuff like this is why it's hard to be positive about this team.....

Complaining about ex-oilers, refs and other posters is just being fair and impartial. Complaining about the team itself is being negative.

It is mentioned from time to time by announcers but Drai really is one of, if not, the best backhand passers in the league. Sometimes he tries the impossible and it leads to a giveaway but man, its beautiful when it works.
Kahun is the beneficiary for his 1st. Nice goal.

The most frustrating part about this team? They have so much talent and speed. These glimpses are almost heart breaking that they can’t come out like this with consistency. They can be so fun to watch.

Edmonton coming in waves. I think Toronto hopes we dial it back soon and they survive by being down only one.

Look at the bottom 6 guys scoring tonight as Archibald restores the lead. Wow.

P.S.: Oh wait, he's on the line with McDavid. Well, he converted a great Connor mcfeed.

At first look I thought so as well. On the replay Tavares never turned his stick over or pulled at all, just a good old fashioned stick lift and Neal got outmuscled BAD

Huge hook on Neal to create that goal.

He lifted Neal’s stick from under.
