I didn’t see us winning this one even with McDavid.

Prove me wrong. It would be nice to take advantage of some of these games on hand in the Pacific Division.

I've got us down as a loss, but my predictions are as good as Lucic's goal record. I think this could be more of an indication of where this team is without McDavid than the game against the Blackhawks. Either way the bonus prize is that I've just noticed it's been shown on UK TV tonight, and a midnight start is way better than getting up at 3am.

Bob Stauffer @Bob_Stauffer
Kucherov, Stamkos, and Cirelli all out for Tampa Bay.
McDavid obviously out for Edmonton.

I'll wait for the official decree, of course, but I think Lightning injuries make this an Oilers must win. Playoffs teams take advantage of gifts like this.

Imagine all the people who were so stoked to have this ticket and get to see all those superstars on the ice tonight...

At least they still can watch Leon Draisaitl!

Tampa has been red hot, they're due for a loss. The injuries make this a winnable game for the Oilers if they're laser focussed, and take advantage of a beat up TBL group, that's still really good despite their injuries.

I could go for a tight, low scoring game. 3-2 Oil win, with Kassian v Marroon rematch.

The only way they win this is good goaltending.

Lightning is 6th in goals against and 1st in goals for.

If they were 10th in goal against, I'd be more optimistic, but 6th!

Oilers are 16th against and 13th for.

Normally the Oil can cure their aliments with offense, but that will be tough against a good defensive team with a hot goalie.

We live in hope.

2015/2016 - This Kool-Aid tastes like McDavid flavoured Drain-O.
2016/2017 - This Kool-Aid is starting to taste like juice.
2017/2018 - I'm drinking this Kool-Aid, in hopes that it's Drain-O.
2018/2019 - Another round of Drain-O, good sir!

Oilers next 4 opponents are a combined 67 games over .500

I'm thinking 3 points during this stretch might be a win.
