Remenda makes watching the Oilers a much lesser experience.

The Sharks scoring first makes watching this game a lesser experience.

Hehe, Gagner was covering the invisible 6th sharks skater. Smart.

I get the whole “wanting everyone to be able to play in front of their moms on this mom trip” but like... boys are riding a 2 game win wave here. I like Nygard back in, but I don’t think Gagner for Haas and Manning for Persson really improve much.
Also. Sharks are making this one pretty easy for me to make it to bed on time. Woof.

Piss-poor clearing attempt by the 4th line winds up in the Oil net on the juicy rebound given up by Smith. Sheahan is not an NHL forward, and Benning is being exposed.

This is a job for a superhero, so time for the Dynamic Duo to pull the team out of a hole again...

I think Sheahan is definitely an NHL forward. 3c? Probably not. More of a 4c and penalty kill. He’s decent on the dot, but I’ve noticed he is not a great skater.

Wowza. Welp. Wake up call for this team. Use it as a lesson.

So, may I suggest that no more "Are the Oilers a good team?" threads be started? It seems to jinx this team into becoming fodder for a low-ranking rival (the Sharks currently sit 3rd-last in the conference and 6th-last in the league). They are currently abusing the Oil to the tune of 3-0.

If it takes being down by 3 goals to wake up, this team can in no way be considered “good” at all.

Very unsuccessful night for lineup changes after a good win. Can usually find a guy that was put in or had responsibility elevated looking like a goof on a GA.

Oh crap, I take it from the constant passing that we are playing Hasek in his prime again tonight who can only be beat by a perfect 5 pass play leading to a shot at an open net.
I swear the stat sheet says Martin Jones with a 0.888 sav%. But, no, obviously it's Hasek in his prime.

Looks like the boys spent their spare time in wine country with their moms... whole team is dopey.. worst I've seen them all year... Sharks aren't even that good... not even going to FF though PVR this time.. look at score in another hour or so ... if = loss, then <delete>, else watch.

Nor should they when the team decide that they are going to take the night off against pond scum teams. Good (re: championship-caliber) teams step on the throats of the downtrodden rather than helping them up by giving them points.

I was almost starting to think he was part of the Sportcrap purge.. they are getting rid of a lot of veteran, higher paid people recently.. they are losing money on this NHL deal, its been mentioned before, just look at their sets now compared to when Skinny Jeans was the face of the network... a desk, chairs, and a background, no screens, no illustrators.. plain and cheap.

Sharks are doing just fine with this game so I'm not sure why the refs are giving them the extra helping hand.

Going into the season SJ was a good team. They probably are a good team. Missed the 1st, but it wasn’t like we were outclassed. Saw three pucks squeak in. Game of centimetres and we were on the wrong side tonight.
Put it behind us and get ready for Thursday.

Ugly game. I thought Leon and Nygard were decent other than that, no one played well, that includes McDavid. Nuge's line was awful. I hope Mannings mom appreciated watching her son play because he was brutal.
I am not sure what happened. Maybe the mom's cooked their boys a heavy meal for lunch because the whole team looked slow and sluggish.
