4-1 Oilers.

Bobby Nicks is going to jog into that season seat holder reception tomorrow like a rock star.

Brought this over from the GDT to kick off this thread;

Why can’t “just out of the playoffs” Oilers play like “way out of the playoffs” Oilers?

For the first two periods it was way out the playoffs Oilers. 10 shots. very little effort. CBJ was just not any better.

In the third they played much better and the Jackets closed up shop.

Man...how can the blue jackets be so bad. They seem to have just trashed that team with their deadline acquisitions. Duchene and Panarin just tossing cross ice hope passes at eachother all night, almost all of them totally failing to be anywhere close.

Maybe John Davidson will bail from that org and wants to try another rebuild from ashes in Edmonton.

They went all in on the playoffs this year, and I'm not sure why. Panarin isn't resigning... he's been clear. Duchene... who knows. Bobrovski is unlikely. And they sacrificed really key rebuild pieces to likely miss the playoffs entirely.

It was a terrible gamble.

Seriously, guys, just stop. You're just ruining draft position. You're also making CBJ fans nearly as depressed as we've been for most of this season and of the past 13 years for that matter.

A nut punch for the Jackets. That's a game they needed to win. A very sleepy game, there for the taking and to my surprise it was the Oilers that stepped up and took it.
