The chances wasted right around the net look worse than usual in decent quality 4K HDR on prime.

Nuge lost his finish last season already but we survived with Hyman finishing. How Hyman and Nuge can’t finish worth a crap on the PP

Brown should fight Jack-Eye before this game is over.

Making another goalie look like a Vezina candidate.

The Oilers can't finish and it's starting to drive 97 a little nuts. He was shaking his head on the last PP, obviously frustrated with the play of his teammates.

It's crazy that we thought that this team was going to be an offensive juggernaut after the offseason moves, and they're easily one of the worst goalscoring iterations of the last decade.

When are players not numbered 97 and 29 (and funny enough 27) going to finally show up this season? Hyman getting folded in half by Xhekaj in the first period was a good metaphor for his season so far (half the player he was last year) and they might as well just dress Nuge in all white (a total ghost). Those two right there would help close the gap on the secondary scoring, and should be the ones to do it. Huge failures so far. Most of this team is a huge fail.

Do have to remember that our PP practices against Skinner and our PK. I bet they just score at will. Nuge and Hyman probably have 50% shooting in practice.

That's an incredibly astute point.

Likely an 80% PP crew in practice, with Skinner manning the pipes.

This team is heading nowhere. A goal given up on a relatively benign tip, almost another goal immediately afterward, and a couple of shutout periods. Against a bad Montreal team at the bottom of the standings.

They need to blow this team up. It's not going to do anything this year.

Cool. Goalies can knock their own net off the pegs & negate any shots on net after that fact? Good to know.
Maybe Stu needs to learn that move any time he's required to move post to post.

Sigh...meanwhile Stu can't even stop a weakass shot from the side boards with no one in front.

Goaltending (or lack thereof) has been killing this team for 20 years now.
Way to waste the prime years of two of the most talented players the league has ever seen...

No fight in this squad at all. Just roll over and die.

No ability to finish, and a roll over and die mentality when they are chasing, or trying to defend a lead. Outside of 97, 29, 27 and 14, and recently 29... what a sad sack of zeroes Jackson added / kept together.

This is the frustrating thing for long-time fans. For all the fire-power they have (on paper) goaltending (and defense) are their downfall. Embarrassing and unacceptable.

Bingo!

The PP in practice is probably clicking at 100% ..

..probably figure they're just having "bad puck luck" when they play other teams..

Knoblauch is poorly distributing his minutes.

Jeff Skinner played the least of all forwards. He is a shooter and a scorer. Mind boggling.

Emberson only got 13.

I don’t think the coach is playing the team the way it was designed.

Clean house or bust
