I’m going to watch this one despite knowing the outcome prior tomouck drop.

Confirmation came in the first shift and the full Av’s lineup is looking to San Jose us. Stay healthy.

You know calling Nurse a defenseman is an insult to all those players who actually know how to play the position.

I have a feeling all of the Nurse, Skinner, Ceci, Brown, McLeod, Henrique, Foegele, Vinny, etc trolls are going to have a field day tonight.

With all the healthy scratches tonight this team would compete with San Jose, but it’s a perfect time to dump on them. Meanwhile, the Avs have their game 1 roster minus Girard going. The same team we beat 6-2 not that long ago, but won’t matter.

Maybe not an ideal way to finish off Skinners season lol. Why didn't we play Skinner last night and Picard for the game where we would ice an ECHL lineup?

Our starter, that had his confidence crater through the floor last playoffs, set up to be destroyed behind an ECHL quality lineup in game 82. Pretty wild.

I'm sure these guys on ESPN love the fact the Oilers rolled out the C-squad tonight for a national broadcast

So why are we sacrificing Skinner this game?
If all the stars aren’t in the line up shouldn’t Skinner have been rested too?

Also I missed the start of this game what were our lines and is there a website to check those?

Guess just gotta hope that the avs aren't making cross ice passes with ease and Skinner pulls something having to go side to side all night.

Missed that we could have secured home ice if we faced the Avs if we tried last game. Bleh.

This is my thought as well.

Why the hell would Knoblauch think that sending Skinner out to get shelled by the Avs with a B squad is a solid plan? Put a third goalie in, if anything.

You can't argue with the team's record since he's become the coach, but I really think that it was more of the Oilers coming together after the canning of Woody and Manson that turned the ship around. I don't really understand some of Knob's decisions, this one included. Why would you do this?

It’s hard to believe, but this roster tonight might still be better than some of the seasons during the decade and a bit of darkness.

Very familiar.

I don't know...we almost always had SOME star. Maybe the 2009-10 team after Souray, Hemsky and Khabibulin were all out for the year but otherwise I don't recall a forward lineup that shallow.

If we're going to play this calibre of lineup and they're playing the A-Team, then you'd like to see the team at least going hard on them. We just look satisfied to sleepwalk through this and take a light skate while getting drubbed by these guys.

Honestly though, this is the perfect finale for Ken Holland's last regulation season game. Basically removed all the players he didn't have anything to do with, and this is what is left. This is the team he's built.

Excluding UFA Hyman and the Barrie/Eckholm trade.
