VERY sloppy so far. Should probably start taking the Ducks seriously, else this will end up being a very embarrassing loss.

This D core shake up was such a terrible decision.
That Strome goal was disgraceful. Nurse and Vinnie had no idea what the hell was happening.

Could not believe it when I read that Vinny was elevated to the first pairing. He's not even a second pairing D...shouldn't be anywhere near the first pairing! Yeah, he's improved a lot...to the point where he's not a complete liability. ON THE THIRD PAIRING.
I cannot understand why the need to change things up. We lose one game out of the last 17 and all of a sudden need to change the D pairings?
Ideally we get in a solid RH 2nd pairing D (Tanev / Carrier / Walker) and keep Vinny on that 3rd pairing. Assuming of course that Ceci moves out as part of the return in a trade to obtain one of the above. If not, then Ceci slides down to 3D and Vinny takes the extra skater spot.

D pair experiment over?
Kulak-Bouch shot attempts 15-3, shots 9-3.
Nurse-VD - trash
Ekhom-Ceci - super trash
Breaking up Ek-Bouch who have performed like a top pair to try to figure out how to make the other pairs work is pretty unfortunate. Hope Holland is paying attention, D is still an issue.

Maybe I should flip Nurse-VD to super trash category. VD definitely not a guy to have out against good comp. Ceci is still better than VD. I think the pairs were already the best we can do.

Would have been cool if Strome could have sniped like that when he was with us.
Side note: The Ducks commentators on the stream I'm are watching are so biased it's hilarious. They haven't quit complaining about how the Ducks should be on the PP the entire game, while completely ignoring all the Ducks infractions.

LOL. Ducks commentators crying about a "pick" when Hyman moved to avoid a Ducks defender in order to get to the net, then the defender bumped into him.
Now complaining about that penalty. Saying it should have been a penalty against the Oilers instead

Funny the video guys couldn't even find that last call on us.
Of course it's ex-Oiler Strome twisting the knife.

Did these defensive pairings practice much at all together? This game shows how terrible these guys are if they all of a sudden have to play with new partners.
VD & Nurse and Ek & Ceci pairings are atrocious in a game against one of the league's worst teams.
