That anthem singer doing the Star Spangled Banner isn't particularly good. Yikes.

Can already tell players will be able to do anything and not get a penalty

So, the usual level of reffing we see in the playoffs. NHL never changes.

NHL refereeing is an absolute joke. It's honestly not even amusing anymore... it's just terrible.

The earlier we can get Drai into warlord mode, the better. That was beautiful.

1-0!

I love the Drai sequence of events there,
Standing still at the blue
3 quick strides
one knee one timer, arms up celly, low fist pump all in one fluid motion.

That goal was prime Drai. Made a between the legs back hand pass, looked to be out of gas and stationary, then does a lot in very little time.
Great play by Kane (I think) to take the pass from Drai and drive hard opening up the lane for the pass back.

There's a call for the Oil- time for the PP to go to work. Fitting that it's Doughty who takes that penalty too.

Good PK there- they did an excellent job of clogging all the shooting lanes and blocking whatever shot attempts the Kings tried to make.

Excellent first period to start the playoffs- if the Oil can keep playing like this, the game should be an ironclad lock in the W column.

It’s almost a shame we have to sit through 82 regular season games. This is a different sport.

What a great period for the boys!
