What a dud. Being in the maritimes in a sea of Leafs and Habs fans, last night was pure joy. Today was a disaster.

Frederic pissed away any goodwill he has with me in the 3rd.

Our bottom 6 is horrendous. We are paying almost $11m for Frederic, Henrique, and Mangiapane. I can almost guarantee you could bring up 3-4 ELC guys from Bakersfield and they would blow these guys out of the water.

Whatever - onward and upward.

100%. Why NOT try Howard, Hutson and Samanski together on the third? Park Frederic, Henrique and Janmark (I think Mangiapane is playing better than 13).

Bench our bottom six on rotation until we find a group that seems to gaf.

Garbage effort tonight.

Why, with so many offensive black holes in the lineup all ready (Lazar, Janmark, Frederic, Henrique) would the Oilers think that the next obvious addition to the lineup needs to be Max Jones??? His stat line in the AHL is 2-5-7 in 17 games with a -2. He's behind only Clattenburg in penalty minutes - but I don't think we need a bunch more of those.

As you say, the game was a dud. The team just didn't really seem to have a lot of life tonight for whatever reason. Crazy to hear that that we are 0-for-6 on second half of back-to-backs this year though. That's not great.

Also Leon can't get that 1000th point soon enough. I can't handle another game with Jack & Louie talking about it whenever he's on the ice. I thought it was ironic when they started talking about whether the players were thinking about it too much as they brought it up for the 10,000th time in the first period alone.

And they just keep looking for him too much. It's not like it's the last game of the season and he's looking to set a record or something. Or if one of them ever gets to 9 points in a game, I would fully expect everything to be going through that player. But we're not even halfway through the season - he needs 1 point for 1000. It'll come. Just play your game boys.

5 Cups

Didn't see the game, but saw the extended highlights on Youtube.

Entire defense was brutal, Bouchard especially

Poor Pickard.. I saw teh score and thought he must have sieved out .. but he played unreal.. stopped 4 clear break aways!

Derfnese still as it ever was.

Can't believe they couldn't score on the 5 on 3.. bizarre.

I hope they give Jarry better defence in Pittsburg, or they are going to get spanked hard.
