Come out and crush them! Smash Tkurtle and Bennett at every opportunity.

Would be awesome to go up 2-0, but even if it happens, you know the Panthers won't go away quietly. They were down 2-0 to the Leafs, and even down by 2 early in game 3 before coming back to win that one.

ESPECIALLY Bennett. Ekblad too. I'm not too worried about Tkurtle. He's so broken that he's barely a factor right now. I'd rather have him in playing hurt than a healthy replacement - better for us.

I hear what you're saying, but I'd rather make sure he stays broken. There is nobody to replace a healthy Tkachuk.

But I agree - Bennett especially. He was easily their most dangerous player.

I just saw a video preview on TSN asking if 97 and 29 would stay together in Game 2. I didn't watch it, so, maybe I'm echoing those thoughts. Maybe I'm saying something original.

I'd leave them together against the Panthers. Maurice has made a big deal about the fact that he won't line match. Well, if he's comfortable putting out any line against any line the Oilers can throw out there, why not load up one line and see if he's still comfortable not chasing match-ups? Knobs seems okay playing RNH at Centre on the 2nd line. If the Oilers depth lines can tread water a loaded up MVP line should be able to win their minutes and possibly tilt the ice in the Oilers favour.

In my humble not understanding hockey and wrong about everything Oilers opinion, I wouldn't. I would mix 97 and 29 in there in parts of the game making the Panthers guess when they are going to together and when they think they figure it out mix it up again. You have to use last change to every advantage and doing this would leverage your bench against the panthers.

The Panthers are relentless and they are a hard checking team. The team needs to exceed their grit and tenacity at every step and you can bet the Panthers can get deep on how nasty they can be.

The Oilers need to be nastier, meaner, and far more grittier to withstand the oncoming horde is coming at them. Stick close to the puck, manage your gaps, and take risks once in a while to keep your opponent off kilter.

Win just one game. That's all then need to do is win one more game.

The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.

Generally Disappointed.

Just so what we did last game minus period two. If Skinner plays the way we did we have a good chance to go up 2 games to nothing

That's fair. And, with the way Knobs runs the bench, lines are never really permanent anyhow. We used to joke about MacT's blender, but Knoblach probably changes up the lines more than any coach in Oilers' history.

Just. Must. Win.

Played great at times in Game 1, Must elevate for Game 2. The Must’ometer reading has fluctuated between Cat 4 and Cat 5 all morning. One things for certain, Mustnado warning in effect.

Simple. Direct. Must.

Going to the restaurant/pub where I went for Game 4 of the finals last year. Would love another 8-1 result, but I figure the Panthers will come out focused and ready to play. (if you want the best fried chicken in CO, I gotchu)

Just weather the inevitable waves like game 1's second period and the first 5 minutes of OT, Maurice will either have to use his depth and pray Nosek doesn't send any more pucks into the mezzanine or just run his horses into the ground.

I expect Brown to be better/healthier and hopefully Bob is tired from 80 minutes of rubber 48 hrs ago.

97.
