I love the magic moments from McDavid but Draisaitl is challenging for the best player in the league right now.

When he's healthy and motivated 29 is the most dominant player in hockey. Unstoppable unless you lumber jack his wrist or break his ribs.

Omg this is glorious... Now just don't get injured. We know what Vegas does when they are frustrated

Not surprised that the Oilers gave up those goals. They've been bleeding Grade A chances all game and the Knights were due.
It's a circus on D in our own zone. Draisaitl started the cycle of pain on the second one with the giveaway at the blue, then skates himself towards the board and away from the play, and then does it again on the feed to the front for the goal. He just stood in the corner for three or four seconds, watching the play instead of covering the middle.
McDavid's been a total non-factor in this one as well.
I'm glad the Oil are up, but holy are they lucky to be ahead. Vegas has it four posts in this one so far and it could have a runaway curb-stomping that our guys were enduring instead.

Oilers need to wake up in the third. They have the lead, for sure... but Vegas is buzzing and they are fighting hard to get back into it.

Vegas can score fast. Makes me nervous
Hoping we get one of those goals back. Vegas can score three or more in a period

Can Skinner's get a natural hatty now? that's 2 Skinner made goals in a row.

Would be nice if McDavid showed up right now to ice this game. He's been invisible / shut down all game.
1 assist, but he really doesn't play well against Vegas.

Yes definitely hasn't been his strongest game that's for sure. He's been solid up till now. Vegas definitely has the recipe to contain him

Overall, this has been a pretty awful effort by the Oil. They've just been wildly lucky.
That breakout on the EN by Nuge and Hyman was so symptomatic of the way the season has been for both. One defender and they trip over each other skating it out.
Almost 4 minutes of EN and they can't score one goal on that gaping hole. Gross.
Despite how bad they played, they managed to win. I guess this game makes up for all of the bad luck they experienced earlier this season.
They'll need a much better effort against Florida. Much better.
