Gonna have to go with the players that got you here in order to still be playing Monday. That includes all the D and Skinner.

I don't know why you HAVE to go with Skinner. He had a .905 save percentage in the reg season, and a .877 in the playoffs so far. Those are not starter numbers.
Pickard has been better in both the reg season and playoffs. Go with the better goaltender.

Unprecedented level of Must rolling into Rogers, breaking the scales at a category 6. A level unseen before, fitting for an elimination game against a team with a fanbase and media following such as the Canucks.
I have a bad feeling about this

The Oilers are going to win. Prove it to yourselves that you're good enough to take this one, and then get ready for Game 7. Everyone has to be committed and willing to give it everything... leave it all out there on the ice and see what happens.

On Stauffer's show a texter said something about wishing that (9.)25 would request a trade and Bob muttered something like 'problem solved'..I wonder if they are finally going to let the media loose on him and see of they can find a way out of this. We know Nurse already thinks he gets criticized a lot which is pretty hilarious honestly. Bob also made some comments critical of management too which was of course predictable now that Holland is on the way out.
It sounds like they are going to die on the Stuart skinner hill again which is pretty crazy. Ive been a saying since the LA series last year that they can not trust this guy in high pressure situations. I would love to be wrong about this but nothing I've seen since then makes me think I was.
Oh well plenty of time in the off season to talk about how Holland destroyed this team and cost them 29 and or 97 and or 2.
Get a big win tonight and break the hearts of those beer tossing city burning tools on Monday!

Agreed wholeheartedly with all of this. The worst part, and I hate saying this… something something glass house when the majority of Oiler fans(myself included) looked south 2 summers ago… … …

Need our game of the year tonight. Then probably another game of the year in 2 days.
Then if we make it, lots of creams and padding to prepare for a spanking against Dallas :)

With Skinner in?! No chance in hell…. he is a below average goalie…. Holland did the best he could with this team; All of you seem to forget that we are playing in the second round 3 years in a row…. With a mediocre team at best! Canadian market is a joke…. taxes are ridiculous…. cap hit low…. players have insane contracts…. From next year bye Drai…. or if they keep him at 12-13 million contract, then bye 3-4 players that were anyway mediocre…. and draw in some nobodies that can’t make this team better.
So…. last playoff game i predict for some years to come!

Pickard played very well. I don’t agree with putting skinner back in there at all. I really hope it pays off

Not sure I 100% agree with all the coach’s decisions here - I’d have liked to see Sam Gagner over Sam Carrick, for instance, but no point worrying about that now!
Let’s go boys!

Pickard was showing confidence. Now we hope Skinner has confidence tonight I guess.
I think the coach is playing with fire. High stakes Skinner hasn’t payed out in important games the past 2 springs.
Perhaps the Oilers will be 100% engaged tonight due to the stakes and who is tending. Hope I eat crow. Game 7’s are a crap shoot. Win it tonight. Let’s go boys!

I would bet that Holland, and the most senior Oilers coach Dustin Schwartz were all asking for Knob to give Skinner his shot to show he's a starter again. This is what Holland gave the team. Skinner is our long term solution (for now). Pickard couldn't steal last game, and the team didn't play for him, which was pretty damn disappointing.
This is it now, do or die. Guess we may as well let the ship go down with Skinner, or maybe we pull off a miracle.

Hyman cross checked down into the boards away from the play. No call

The goalie flopping like he was shot encouraged the ref to make the no goal call and put it on us to challenge. Instead of goal and putting it on the Canucks.
Dislike this league.
