Well, there's a seive GA. Another Cody Ceci pinch, but that needed to hit Skinner.

Why was Ceci caught so far up ice? You're a defenceman, man.

He does that all the time. It's like he has a personal rule that he has to gamble more than Nurse. And he absolutely sucks offensively, so almost every time he jumps up it is more likely to hurt the team than help.
Guy needs a hard slap.

I suppose Nuge will probably say the blown tire to set up the Kane goal was on purpose.
Oh well, goal is a goal.

I will take Nuge making a play to set up a goal 5v5 in any form. Rare sight.

Nice giveaway by Broberg. Gives the puck away, goes for the change and watches the Stars score.
Beauty.
I strongly suspect that he needs another year or two of seasoning down in the AHL. He falls and gives the puck away all the time.

A ludicrous turnover by Broberg leads to a 3 on 1 forward and a goal aganst.

McDavid with an absolutely brutal giveaway there as well. Gross.
This team just adores giving up the puck and leaving their goalies in garbage situations.
We're not playing a terrible game, by any stretch... but the mistakes continue to kill this team. We need another strong Dman to settle this crew down.

Connor Brown down the tunnel. How bizarre would it be if he got knocked out of the lineup in game 9.
Likely won't matter. He will take any drug possible to just get in the lineup one more game for 3.225m and we will be happy to oblige.

Sorry folks, but the Flames game was an aberration...
This team is heading nowhere. They need to make significant changes to make this an actual contending team. They need real commitment to playing "critical mistake-free" hockey.
How is it possible that a team that has McDavid and Draisaitl has these stretches where they look like they couldn't commit themselves to getting out of a wet paper bag? How is this possible?
Maybe it'll take a real hard*** of a coach to make this team commit? Maybe the only type of personality that can get these guys to pull up their pants high enough is a Tortorella or a Gallant.

As we chat about the tire fire Oilers, the Canucks are off to a fast start in their game. Looks like the Canucks have leapfrogged the Oilers in talent and commitment. Wouldn't be surprised to see them make the playoffs at the end of this season, with the way Tocchet has his squad playing.

To think, if those 2 major gaffes don't happen, different outlook for the 3rd. Preventable.
Plus only one line going.
Not good enough. There needs to be a level, and that level includes focus and intensity. Can't have just a handful of players delivering it on a cup or bust team trying to dig out of a hole.
I predict Kane elevating to L1 in the 3rd.

Sadly the gaffes keep coming.
Analytics wise we probably still look good. The secret is to make teams aware they can be patient and just wait for amazing chances at wide open net, so they pass up lower quality Corsis.

Those things happen to all teams, the issue with this team right now is a lack of scoring. What's up with that?

Hard choke by us on a golden chance and a perfect conversion by Dallas right after. Burn

I'm pissed. This team is an effing joke and after all the preseason hype about commitment and focus, making sure everyone is on the same page and a new defensive system that was going to take us to a new level... to see this kind of BS is just nauseating. The Flames game was an anomaly. This team needs some sort of strong purge / enema / exorcism. What an absolute joke.

"Hands of Stone" Foegele goes full McDavid to get an elite scoring chance, but, of course, doesn't score.

Bouchard is shooting too much on the PP. He should be the last option when you have 3 great shooters in closer.
