I’m an hour “earlier” in pacific and I’m still barely hanging in there. TNT is nuts for thinking any US viewer is staying up this late to support the Coyotes…. On a Wednesday night!

Likely not staying up to watch the Coyotes but when McDavid scored on the bank shot, I got messages from three US based friends of mine.

Good positioning there 25, puck's in your corner and you're heading for the blueline for a breakout..
Play defence bud.

Not liking this game. Doing the deal where we think little bursts of skill will be plenty enough to win. Everyone looking slow out there.

Good defense there guys.. 25 + 29 = 0

Nurse up along boards out of position like he always is.. 5 has a 2 on 1.. open net goal.. maybe let 25 play LW.. he seems to want to play that more than D.

Bouchard looked amazing on that PP... but Drai kills the play a couple of times. How do we get to a point where Leon figures out how to move his legs again?

Oilers giving way 2 pts.

25 on ice for all 3 goals against.

Ekholm knows how to play shutdown defence.. plus he's more effective at offence than 25.. who routinely gets burned taking risks for offense.. 25 should be watching game tape of EK14 every day.. on repeat.

Ekholm has suddenly turned Bouchard into an arguable number 1 D. I don't know how, but Evan suddenly looks like an all-star.

That's probably the biggest change. But there is no question that the Ekholm Bouch pairing is FAR superior to Nurse Ceci, or Nurse Desharnais.

Leon is useless right now. A totally needless giveaway in the D zone leads to an icing.

Leon is the worst Dzone forward we have on this team.

They've been smoked twice already. And Woody seems unconcerned.

Throughout the season that has been a poor trio as well. 39.47 % GF. The weak link being Ceci it seems, Drai+Nurse without him haven't had much bad happen.

I personally am concerned about that Nurse/Ceci pairing going into playoffs. Ceci has been consistently poor all year long. Nurse needs a reliable partner that can make plays.

Usually 2/3 are standing straight up coasting and puck watching at all times.

Nurse has all the tools defensively with the exception of the one between the ears. The wires cross sometimes.

97 didn’t seem too pleased with Yamamoto after the buzzer.

He either told him he needed more on that pass or why didn’t he try to get open.

I was saying both.
