Wow, I haven't really been paying too much attention to the standings, and just assumed that the Devils still sucked. Nope, guess not!
Should be a fast game.

New Jersey and Buffalo have been big surprises for sure. Now that Eichel is gone, I like the Sabres more. Crazy to think that just a couple seasons ago they were hanging their hats on Eichel and Hall propelling them back up the standings and they only got 4 goals out of them.
New Jersey's goalies have only been ok in terms of save % this season, so I feel like we will score a few, but hopefully we don't need at least 6 to win against them like last season.

I noticed Oilers do better against fast offensive teams.. ice is more open, and a lot more counter attack chances result.. might be a shoot-out!
Good test for Stew, and the defence in front of him.

P. Chiarelli math.. T. Hall = A. Larsson, Yak= bag o'pucks (OK he got one right...) K. Russell = $4.1 M+NMC, G. Reinhart= M. Barzal + A. Beauvillier, J. Eberle = R. Spooner,

The Oilers have a tidy little 5 game winning streak going into this game. Nice to see.

Expecting a lackluster start… I mean this is the Oilers and there’s a pregame ceremony for the induction of lunch pail Ryan Smyth and Lee Fogolin into the Oilers HOF. We all know how the Oilers play following a pregame ceremony.

I think the Devils are a good opponent for the Oilers tonight. They are a young team with lots of offensive minded forwards with not a lot of experience that will probably like to trade chances. Their defense I would say isn't full of defensive specialists and their goaltending isn't great. To me, they look like the Oilers from a few years back. If the Oilers get any kind of goaltending and try to play even a little defense, I like their chances.

I changed my vote. Last several times it's been Bouch, now I think Yamo gets 2.

I picked Foegele. The guy has had some unreal chances. Goalies making insane saves. Rang the bar once or twice.

I was a bit too harsh on Holloway....He has looked better and he's going to pop one tonight. Looks like a different player playing center, and maybe he he needed some more time to clear the cobwebs from the suicide pass death hit.
Hope it's an entertaining game. This year has been a treat so far.

Apparently they are inducting Smyth and Fogolin into the Oilers hall of fame tonight before the game.
Clean house or bust
