Oilers had a 4-2 lead against the Blues after 2 periods early this season and had to score with 0:30 left to win. Lets not repeat that.

That last goal, like the 2nd goal, was all Smith in his incompetent glory. Can't blame the D-men on it.

Smith is brutal, but the Defense has been terrible all night, contributing to all the goals.

Man, if you can’t count on your goalie to stop an unscreened weak shot right at him from outside the face off circle? I don’t know how you’re supposed to
play that. That third goal was all on Smith.

Does anyone in the org believe this tandem can take us anywhere? If we do make it in, I would say about even odds we get swept again. Still can’t believe we are still trotting this guy out there. Get Skinner up here yesterday.

It is possible Kostko/Skinner could actually be an above average group. Not cup run elite but still good. Frustrating team. Smith should be in the AHL or sitting at home right now.

His reflexes are too slow.. he played bad position and on top of it too slow to react to the shot.. same as the first goal.. too slow to react to the wrap around.

Pull him before you lose the game.

Principe: You've switched goalies before.
MacT: Once even for a shootout.
Principe: I remember, Conklin smashing his stick.
MacT: But it worked.

HEY CRAIG, YOU LOST THAT GAME, ALIENATED YOUR GOALIE AND MADE EVERYONE REALIZE EVEN MORE THAT YOU WERE A HORRIBLE COACH.

He actually thinks he was successful pulling that move, when it was mocked around the hockey world, including by Conklin - the goalie who got pulled.

It's like there's a trend or something...I wonder if there's a common denominator?

Oh well, at least they been consistent with the goalies for the past 15 years.

I guess it's a moral victory that the tying Blues' goal was a team effort to fail on D?

"Sabres think the suck is their ally? They merely adopted the suck. The Oilers were born in it...molded by it."

This has to be it for Smith. Right? Surely they’re not going to keep trotting him out there this year are they?

Look at him battling though. Inspiring

No. You can't fake an injury, they won't demote him. He'll be here for the rest of this year and next year unless he gets a real injury or he retires. They may get a new starter in the summer, but he'll be the backup minimum.
