I’m sick of the Leafs and I’m sick of losing. Toronto is sporting a healthy roster tonight. I dunno? One thing is for sure, the Leafs are leaving town tomorrow.

It’d be magical if the DRY line picks up where they left off and Tipp keeps them together for the season.

Bold prediction. Kahun elevates to the first line soon. Possibly tonight if Neal can’t keep pace.

So 93, 29,56 is a good move...

Is sitting BOUCHARD because 19 couldn't stop a beach ball in any way a good move?

...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

Shoot. That’s what happens when you are too busy to follow Twitter on game day. I still think Kahun might fit with McDavid. He’s good on digging for the puck. Between him and 97, Jesse could be the trigger man.

So far Neal’s best shift was when he was caught out with the 4th line. Terrible giveaway and the luck is dying on his stick.

All these years I still can’t believe sportsnets doesn’t bother to put together a half hour pre and post game show despite spending dump trucks of money on NHL rights. Three minutes with Cassie, Friedman, and gene? Good enough.

They can't keep letting the Leafs rifle shots at Smith while flying through the point at full speed. Smith has already been beat twice but they've either hit the post or gone wide.

One quality chance. The puck was left unattended for a second on the first shift the DRY line. I thought the puck was going to squirt free to Nuge for a side door tap-in.

The Oilers just aren’t at the Leafs level yet. Even if they manage to muster a point out of this, it shows how far they have to go before they can compete with the best teams in the league.

"[It was] really cool to throw on the Oilers gear, the gear that I want to play the rest of my life wearing. It was pretty cool to put it on. With all the history, it was a lot of fun." - Connor McDavid, July 1, 2015

So four goals on the first 15 shots. It's a shame Mike Smith forgot to battle in this one. I hope he's providing a lot of leadership, since he isn't providing any saves.
