Figure it out boys, if you can find a way to win, you are all of a sudden a lot closer to the Habs.

Will be checking this one out on the ol’ PVR tonight with a glass of Burrowing Owl after the kids are down for the night.

4-3 Oilers with Drai, Pulju, Barrie and Connor getting the goals.

Which did you have? They generally have really nice wine. I'd recommend giving it another shot.

The kids are always excited for these 5 PM starts because they're the only games they're allowed to stay up for the whole game!

The cab is my fav.

My kids are G4, B2 and B5 months haha their interest in hockey isn’t too great yet. They’ll watch for a few minutes but generally leave daddy alone to watch daddy’s Oilers. Daughter loved going to games, we went to a couple oiler games and blades games. Her first game, the goal horn scared the living bejeebus out of her. Will be fun once it’s an option again.

I have three girls, 7, 5, and 2. The older two are big fans and have been for a long time, especially my oldest. The youngest says Go Koekkoek and Go Bear...so she's on the right route. They also refer to the Flames as the "Yuck C's", so we've been raising them right here.

I really enjoy both Cab Sauv and Cab Franc from Burrowing Owl. The Meritage is a little pricy but really nice too.

Awe man that sounds super cute and exciting!!! Good work on the Yuck C’s girls haha! I love it.

I’m a glutton for crappy TV and am a fan of The Curse of Oak Island... I’ve wanted to try their wine, Mari Vineyards from Michigan. Haha. I’m sure it’s not great, but I wanna giver a shot. https://www.marivineyards.com/winery

For not being uber expensive, but not cheap, I really like it. One of my fav mid priced ones, if not my Taylor Hall of mid ranged wines.

I think I went with malbec, syrah, and pinot gris there. I shouldn't really complain because they were fine, it just didn't blow me away. I thought their neighbors, Platinum Bench, was much better.

I am 100% here for pregame wine discussions. We have a subscription to 8th Generation out of B.C. 12 bottles (or more!) every 4 months, delivered free shipping and they take the pst off because we're in AB. Works out to $17-$20 per bottle and we’ve liked virtually every one. Had to up the number of bottles once quarantine hit naturally.

You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

I'm a big big fan of the pinot gris wines grown north of Kelowna. Hidden gems up there. But don't ever go north of Kelowna, you wouldn't like it there. It's too quiet and friendly.

This is weird because I drive by many of the aforementioned wineries on a daily basis, especially 8th Generation which I live right near. I would also recommend trying Road 13 winery in Oliver, particularly their Red, or for a few bucks more the "Honest John's" Red.

As for the game, Montreal is going to take the Oil lightly after clobbering them twice a few weeks ago. 5-3 Oil. Conner with a pair, & Smith with an assist and 2 PM's.

I like the call for Smith getting 2 PIMS... but which kind. Does he smack somebody around? Or does he just shoot the puck over the glass from behind the net?

When COVID hit, I decided to join a couple of wine clubs from the Okanagan. Chose Quail's Gate - the restaurant there is really nice - and La Frenz from Naramata. You won't find La Frenz in liquor stores but the wine is REALLY nice. I haven't found anything of theirs I don't really enjoy and their tawny port is delicious too.

Will be checking this one out on the ol’ PVR tonight with a glass of Burrowing Owl after the kids are down for the night.

4-3 Oilers with Drai, Pulju, Barrie and Connor getting the goals.

I wanted to like Burrowing Owl, but I just didn't.

Ah, tawny port.... My dad is a big fan, I've never had much of a taste for it. Naramata is probably the best area to tour wineries around here though for being quaint, and not super busy. It's growing fast though, so in a few more years they'll wreck it.

Unrelated, but I recently picked up a bottle of locally made Absynth from Alchemist Distillery. Haven't cracked it yet. Maybe on my 45th next month.

I make music:

Nichol Vineyard in Naramata has nice Syrahs and their Pinot Gris Rose is pretty decent for a Canadian Rose.

Ryan Rishaug: Can confirm (finally) Puljujarvi not on the ice for morning skate.

James Neal with Nuge and Connor.

Tippett about to speak and I’m sure question 1 will be about Puljujarvi for tonight.

I’m sad.

Just another victim of Oilers Fight Club. It was a really bad team bonding idea for this season.

Pretty boy Rishaug also notes that Smith off the ice before Koskinen

Smith likely starting

That’s a pretty L!

Have some faith! Positives. Team sucked and Le Habitants lit Koskinen up earlier in the year. Maybe Smitty has better fortunes.

Are the beds the Oilers sleep in too hard and they wake up stiff? I don't remember JP looking shaken up, blocking a shot in a bad spot, taking a hard hit or anything that would lead to him missing time.

Per Tipp;

Puljujarvi held out for precautionary reasons and we’ll see where things go this afternoon

Sounds... like it could be a number of things. Covid? Concussion (stemming from a hit he took against Ottawa)? Trade? icon_neutral

Some au francois reporter asked for further clarity and Tippett just said that’s all he’ll say is that he was told by the trainers to hold him out this morning.

Smith confirmed starter for tonight and Tipp confirms Kassian is in Edmonton receiving further tests.

Rude! That man just had a hip replacement Zaitsev!

Thanks. I didn't remember that one. Looks like a hit from behind. I am guessing there wasn't a penalty. Why would the NHL want to punish that kind of stuff.

To be fair, we don't really want the Senators weakened further right now. It only helps teams we need them to occasionally beat.
