If they play like they did against the Jets on Tuesday, I'll need something stronger than beer to get through this one.

Always whiskey or bourbon. Has got me through many a bad game in the last 15 years.

As I type this we have a rough GA.

Seems early for a refill but here we are.

If the rest of the night is going to be as bad as Koski's play on that goal against, I am thinking that nothing less than bleach will work. Stuff like that makes me want to forget that I was ever a fan of this damn team.

Hey, who could have predicted that a combo of Mike Smith and Mikko Koskinen wasn't the goaltending you needed to be a Stanley Cup contender?

Maybe the Oil should see if Sarah Nurse can play at D better than her currently-useless brother. At the very least, I'd rather see her face than his on the ice...

If you have two top-five point scorers in the NHL, it is unforgivable management if you aren't a playoff contender every year.

Yeah, his hands are tied there too, because he doesn't have the cap space to sign a forward who could actually play with Connor and push lesser players down the depth chart.

Well, that goal can certainly be placed at Koski's feet off the piss-poor clearing attempt.

On a related note: earlier, Nurse's inability to make a basic backhand pass saw the Laffs go back the other way and keep the Drai line hemmed up in their own end for an entire shift. This Oil D has to get better. When is Bouchard expected to come back from the bad back...?

At this point they might as well put 5 forwards out there. It isnt like they are actually setting up shots from the blue line. When they do it is blocked almost every time.

A quick question is it too early to start drinking at 4am?? I mean I got up early to watch this and I'm not quite sure why..

Though what I will say is that when you play well you get the lucky breaks, the jump of the puck seems to fall for you. This team isn't getting anything and I don't think we are that far away from being able to grab a top 4 spot, but we need to get playing and be consistent.

He's not the fix for a peewee team the way he's playing right now. By my count, he's given away the puck at least 5 times this period, including 3 times on that PP.
