It's like a pre-season schedule on acid. This season could be fantastic to watch or the worst thing ever.
Please do not feed the bears. Feeding the bears creates a dependent population unable to survive on their own. Bears.

Depends on what the scores are in terms of the Oilers. The first 15 or 20 games are going to be crucial.

Most back-to-back games in the entire league. Bad season to have Mike Smith as one of the netminders...

What is the deal with us and back to back games? like clockwork for us to be loaded with them.
And they can't even put some effort with so few teams to play and near limitless freedom to dominate the schedules of arenas to make the back to back games against the same team all the time. This league fails.

The first three weeks and all of March are awful. 12 games in 21 days to start, 16 games in 29 days in March.

I don’t think a backup who went 12-3-4 with a .911 save percentage from the start of the calendar year into the COVID stoppage (pretty much the playoff drive) is the worry. We should be asking if Koskinen can just take the reigns and run with the majority of the games. The back to backs will make it that much tougher but to not have any sort of confidence in Smith is scary since he ended up outplaying Koskinen when it mattered.
The decision to start Mike Smith in the playoffs was based on his history (Best playoff save percentage of all time) and should have been based on Koskinen looking better during the mini camp before the play-ins against Chicago. That was a mistake. But I also wish they gave game 4 back to Smith as Koskinen didn’t really fare much better.
"Bah Gawd! Would somebody stop the damn draft!"
- Jim Ross calling the NHL Draft Lotto 2015 as the Oilers win
