We're going to burn Loski out like crazy. Ooop. I mean Koski. That's a weird Fruedian slip of the finger.

Back in times of old when the Oilers had a comfortable cushion the concerns of burning out players were warranted but in hindsight were a luxury.
Given the current free fall in the standings I think the team needs to play anyone who can help win, as long as needed, regardless of long term burnout.
Same with bringing players up from the minors. Anyone they see as having the most NHL ready game should be given 5 or 6 games. If they swim, great, the team is better, if not, back to the A to keep developing.
The time has come to ice the best team before this year is another write off.

I do agree with that. The team needs wins right now.
Hopefully Holland has the full autonomy™ to make a plan for what looks like an inevitability.

Free fall? We are in the middle of a winning streak.
You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you can get a lottery pick.

Ah yes, the old Oilers-style “1-game winning streak”. After all, it is a streak if they haven’t lost yet!

The lineup against the Canucks, per the Oilers website.
Lines at morning skate appeared to be:
Draisaitl - McDavid - Kassian
Neal - Nugent-Hopkins - Chiasson
Nygard - Sheahan - Archibald
Granlund - Haas - P. Russell
Nurse - Bear
Klefbom - Larsson
K. Russell - Jones
Koskinen
Smith
Any secondary scoring coming up tonight? I hope so, but I'm (reluctantly) sticking to my prediction of a Canuck win. I'm hoping the bottom six are coming around, but let's see what they can do during the second half of the season.

MUST WIN.
Markstrom usually slays the Oilers. Need this W before Christmas.

All games vs Canucks done before Christmas? Zero Flames games until after christmas. The schedule makers work in mysterious ways.
A 2 game win streak coming up? First time since Nov 23/24? Would be great timing for it.

I'm surprised this isn't a parameter in the computer scheduling process. It makes no sense to have your two games against eastern teams a week or two apart or the situation with Vancouver and Calgary we're talking about.
