Frustrating that Oilers still not getting much respect. Last week on NHL radio they were discussing the Sharks upcoming schedule, and they listed this game as one of the games the Sharks should win because it's only the Oilers. Not that any of us are surprised by that but it's still frustrating.
And as long as I am complaining, these 8:30 starts are less than ideal.

The Oilers have been so bad for so long, it will take a lot longer than a month and a half to gain respect. But in saying that, I have no issue if the league doesn't take the Oilers seriously. I hope that is the case with teams taking the Oilers lightly.

Fair enough, but in this instance it was the last place team being glad that the first place team was coming into town for an easy win. Oilers or not that doesn't even make sense.

I will buy into the must win mantra for tonight. Indeed tonight’s game will make a difference both now and down the stretch. The Oilers are playing a lot of Pacific rivals in the next few weeks and the Sharks are among the division’s best. A win in the shark tank would show that the hockey gods are in tune with the Oilers.
