Well it appears thus far this season, Bouchard is back to being Dr Jekyll on one side the red line and Mr Hyde on the other side of the red line.

That's been coming since the puck drop against the Rangers, let alone the Isle's. Bouchard coughs it up, but to be fair the way we've been sloppy with the puck, that sort of thing will happen.

Would that not mean, more Nurse time? Every action has a consequence

That's the kind of move that leads to a coach being fired. The mistake was awful but benching him is a terrible idea and would likely have terrible on ice results.
- How long does Bouchard sit for? A period? The game? Until another defenceman makes a bech worthy error?
- If you bench one of your best players, do you do it every time someone make an error? Only if it leads to a goal? Only if it's Bouchard? You draw a line in the sand this early and dont follow through or remain consistent you lose the room in a hurry.
- For anyone not wearing 97 or 29, you start to play with fear. Playing scared to make a mistake is never a good thing.
This doesn't even take into account the ripple effect of moving every player up a notch on the blue line. All of the people who want Nurse sent to the moon would love that I am sure...
Bouchard is what he is, he will makes some mistakes, often trying things that most players don't even think of. Those same efforts will often lead to scoring chances for. He will also be one of the top d-men in the league for helping his team win.

Agree to disagree. This isn’t a playoff race at the moment. Yes, all teams have 2 sets of rules, but it’s very abundantly obvious on this team far too often.

I'd cheer it all day if Knobs sat Bouch for a full game. The metrics are good for he and Ek so far this year, so it's not exactly that he is playing poorly..
It's just the laissez faire attitude about these AAA giveaways that irks the eff out of me.

I think that’s a bit overboard.
Yes he’s been brain dead every time he’s been around the puck this period. A few shifts maybe.

He was a clown show in the first. He's had a lot of giveaways to start the season so far; the coach needs to light a fire.
By the way, it really seems like McDavid has totally lost his ability to put the puck in the net. I'm guessing 25 goals this year, max.
I'm really surprised at how slow the team looks though... like they are almost glacial out there. What happened to our team speed?

Just gotta patiently wait for Bouch’s playoff mode lol
Almost all our goals against this year have been straight up gifts and flukes. Keep grinding boys.

McDavid, dude. Puck bounces to you right in the slot and you just instantly throw it away with a bad pass. Thought he was determined to show everyone he can score this year?

I mean that's "the house" - that's where we tell the kids to protect at all costs on D, and on O, that's EXACTLY where you want the puck...Far be it from me to tell one of the best to ever play the game what to do, but yeah - you shoot the puck from there. Especially when the goalie has just done a belly flop.
