So, last year, it was Game 5 and the Oilers were headed into Florida needing a win on the Tuesday night after Father's Day. They came up with the win and followed that up with another W on Friday night in Edmonton.

They just have to repeat what they did last year. It won't be easy. But we know it can be done.

This isn't a must win game, this is a HAVE to win game. Over the past 5 games, we've played badly twice and got our butts kicked twice. In the other games it's been pure theatre in terms of the hockey played and we've won twice. As long as we play we'll give ourselves that chance, it doesn't even matter who's in the pipes either as long as the rest of the team turns up we'll have a chance.

I keep telling myself this, but this team REALLY has to show up on time. Can't keep spotting Florida leads the way we have been. Score first and make them chase us for a change.

Have to imagine that we go back to Skinner for this one.

So I've basically avoided anything to do with hockey since I bailed during the 2nd on Saturday. I didn't need any analysis or opinion, as I know what I saw.
I have some things to do tonight, so I might check in before the 3rd. Not very enthused overall, but the 4th game is the hardest to win.

I hope they win. I believe they can because we've seen it, but do they believe? I'm not so sure.

It'd be nice to drag them back to Alberta for a game 7.

I have visions in my mind of Kane scoring in the empty net in game 6 against LA in 2022 and flashing the seven fingers to indicate we were going to game 7 in Edmonton.

Let's seem him get going in this series and make it happen again.

McDavid scores 4 goals / 2 assists between right now and this weekend. Skinner lets in one goal total (on Friday). Draisaitl wins the Conn Smythe. We find out Nuge has a broken finger, but is playing with extra stones. Ekholm misses the start of next season, but it's worth it. Parade starts at the arena, goes down 103, left on Jasper, left again, up through Churchill Square and back to the arena.

Book it.

You're GD right.

A lot of us have lived through the decline of the early / mid 90s. Being the poor little brother against the Stars. The 18 year decade of darkness. And losing to the freaking Jets. The Oilers are in the Stanley Cup finals, two games from the cup and there are people here who think Conner McFreakingDavid can't win two games? Come on. It's his world ladies and gentlemen, we're just living the drama. Grab a drink, order a pizza, and enjoy the ride. Don't bother saving your energy for Friday, you'll get two who days to recover.
