The waft of musty air has found it's way across the Atlantic, a big game and a first road win in this series and that musty air might just find a scent of roses after it.
Run the same team, why try to fix something that isn't broke? We've got to be on top of things from the start, they'll come out flying to try and put themselves out of sight, to prevent any comeback. If we can take the first period brilliant, if tied that's great and only 1 goal down OK. Nothing after that is positive.
Take me home, country road
to the place where I belong
to Alberta, to see the Oilers
take me home, country road

They can take the lead for the first time in the series. This is a biggie for The Oilers.

Musty indeed!
These guys must know by now that they can dominate if they put the effort in. Kings might go all out to start this game and if we can weather that they could be ripe to get worn down the rest of the night. Let’s take this series in 6!

Just. Must. Win.
Incredibly Musty winds as many have stated. The way the Oil have played the third periods is a good sign, just need to show up before that haha.
Grabbing one on the road here would be massive.

I think the start of the game especially the Kings are going to be more aggressive than at any point all series. I also think that the Kings coach will make some adjustments. Not saying the Oilers can't win, but this will be the Kings' best game of the series, so the Oilers will need to be able to match that to win.

St. Laurent looks like a bundle of joy.. yikes
At least they aren't USA homers.. not that changes how bad the NHL refs have been in general

I thought the linesmen had a really bad night on Sunday. They just refused to drop the puck. Why don't linesmen want to drop the puck?

It was interesting about the faceoffs I remember a coach being interviewed recently (last week or so, might have been KK) about that, why are guys thrown out of the circle?.. he said they aren't really sure.. he said they slow it down on replays after to try and see the reason they were thrown out and he said most of the time they can't see anything.. so it seems to me that most of these faceoff "infractions" are likely imaginary.. and if there is something.. it is so minor as to have no impact on the faceoff.. they just wind up wasting time.. which is the reason the NHL gives for NOT reviewing ref calls made/missed .. takes TOO MUCH time.. why not just drop the freaking puck and you'll add enough time to ensure a properly reffed game.. or at least hold them to a little bit of accountability.

Probably still pissed about that one coach who benched him in peewee and put him on the path to being an overpaid beer leaguer.
|
You're pretty close..
From Wiki..
Quote: | Personal life
St-Laurent was a goaltender in his youth, spending the late stages of his playing career on the bench as the backup.[103] He has been based in the Raleigh, North Carolina area since 2010, upon his promotion to the full-time officiating roster.[104]
|
Also this pair were the two that had the Game 1 of the Montreal / Caps series.. which turned into a gong show of refereeing ineptitude.. so of course they don't get demoted.. just shuffled.
I suspect a new low in NHL refereeing incompetence is on its way..
