Any word on Stecher? If he's out too, can we get another guy to the game in time to play? Going 5 D over and over down the stretch seems like asking for trouble - especially given that Knoblaugh didn't seem overly confident in using Dineen. He was still under 10 mins of ice time before Stecher went down.

Apparently both Nuge and Hutson are in for this one. Still no Drai though, and Stecher is also out. McDavid not playing either. Josh Brown recalled.

That's going to be one ugly looking line up in a pretty important game.

Beuh - wanted to see McDavid hit 100. Gotta think if he sits tonight he’ll sit the last one too.

This tells me that he was playing hurt the last few games just waiting for Nuge to be healthy enough to play.

WTH - that sounds like the team is just deciding they don't care about trying for the long-shot at home ice advantage.

Of course, the Kings have been notoriously dirty the last few years around playoff time. Maybe the thought is just that we're better off playing it safe and not giving them one more crack at hurting him.

I really wanted to see him get to 100 points though. Sucks if they scratch him the last two games sitting on 99. NHL teams making some annoying decisions the last week this year. MacKinnon was tied for the scoring lead and the Avs just concede the Art Ross to Kucherov by scratching him for the last two games. It was a stretch, but Makar had an outside chance at 100 points too and he's held out too. Impacts some of the playoff races, because, for example, the Kings had an easy game against the Avs without all their best players on the weekend.

...maybe Hutson will get a bunch of ice time. And a look on the PP.

The last thing the Oilers need is a new shiny wunderkind flashy D teasing the organization.
