Pretty bad 2nd period. allowing multiple breakaways a minute or so apart. Drai post on an open net

I am willing to give him 6-7 games to get up to speed and fit in with a new team. Impressions after 40 mins; we are seeing the good and bad of him. A couple quick, smart passes. A couple of terrible defensive assignments missed.
His skating looks smooth but his footspeed seems awfully slow. Hopefully that picks up as he gets more time in.
Directly to the goal you refer to; He will get some grace from the fans for a couple more of those . After that he will become a whipping boy in short order.

I don't want to be too hard on him after all the crap he's been through. Just felt compelled to point out that that kind of play has been his MO his whole career.
For sure hope he improves and maybe somehow playing within our system helps.
Still definitely have a wish list of a defensively solid RHD for Nurse (or Ek? Bouch Nurse haven't been bad tonight) and a 1B goalie at the deadline.

Ya, I think we are basically saying the same thing.
Also, I agree that Bouch and Nurse have decent tonight. If Ek can be good enough to cover up for Klingberg's defensive issues AND Nurse/Bouchard can not leak goals that could be an effective top 4.
