All the hype about Connor vs Connor, but I predict Connor Brown to score the game winner.

I will be curious if crazy stat guy Stauffer will check into this.
There will be 4 guys with the same name, spelled exactly the same playing tonight.
Oilers.
Connor McDavid
Connor Brown
Hawks
Connor Bedard
Connor Murphy
I have no idea how or if it's even possible to look this up but I have to think it's up there with the amount of guys with the exact same first name playing all at once.

Couldn't ask for a better opponent to get back over 0.500. Just need to get up and not play down to our opposition. Too much to ask? Has been many times in the past.

We had four Ryans in the lineup just for the Oilers at some point. Nuge, Smyth, Whitney and Jones all played on the the 2011-12 team. May have even had a 5th some night because Ryan O'Marra played 7 games that year.

On December 2, 2011 all 5 Oilers Ryans played, and the Blue Jackets had Ryan Johansen in the lineup. 6 total Ryans is the best they seemed to get that year (based on just looking at the 7 games that Ryan O'Marra played in). When they played the Ducks there was Bobby Ryan and Ryan Gezlaf, but Whitney and Nuge were hurt.

Just one day after the 38th anniversary of this beauty, the highest scoring NHL game of the modern era (well, since I was born anyway!) Could we see something similar. Might have to change my Prediction.....

Can you imagine the steam coming out of the ears of a modern coach if your team led 6-0 23 minutes in and then had to hold on to win it 12-9? Both teams getting Campbell/Skinner type goaltending from their tandems there. Everything went in all night long. Fuhr had the best numbers of any of the four netminders and he let in five!!!

The Oilers need to come into this game all business. This is a game where top to bottom they are the superior team and it's not close. They are playing well and if they play how they have been playing, they should win the game. Don't worry about putting on a show, just win the game. A 3-1 win counts the same in the standings as 8-1. Just win the game.
That being said, I could see McD reminding the NHL who the #1 Connor still is.

Feels like a trap game. 5 straight against good eastern teams coming next, easy to forget the bottomfeeders in the west.

Would be nice to see Leon return to form tonight. He's had chances however looks like he's skating in sand way too often this year.
