Hopefully these guys can find an extra gear in this one and get a win. Not a luck of puck luck here so far...
Shocked that Garland wasn't called on a clear elbow right to DR's face. That was rough.

Team got up for revenge. Gags sets up Ekholm for a bomb for the lead.

Nope.
Excellent attacking position by Desharnais there... what a tip!
This team doesn't trust their D or their goalies. They need to make a trade, asap.
JFC. Make a goddamned stop, Stu. JFC.

Desharnais has to be better than that, but the forward needed to stay with the attacker.

Our goaltending and D coverage is absolute horse manure...
But goaltending, FFS... can it actually be worse than it is right now? Like, would a large pylon do better? I mean that, honestly.

Get the ball rolling with an own goal and then it's just full panic pylon mode
This team is such a mess

This is effing terrible. Woodcroft is gonzo after this game, and they are trading for a goalie. Absolute nonsense.

What does Skinner even practice with Schwartz? Why does he pull his left leg in so hard when he doesn't know where the puck is falling
Anyways. That's a perfect sequence to summarize the season

Reminds me of the first year when Talbot played for the Oilers. Demko can't keep this up forever.
So this is what hope feels like?

I haven’t hated Oilers hockey this much since Smyth was traded or when Dallas Eakins was our coach. We only lost the last 2 years to the teams that won the cup.. WHO are these guys on the ice!?

Why has there not even been a thought of calling up another goalie?

Katz may have paid Holland $25M to convincingly end the McDrai era.
I'd argue he overpaid worse than Holland does.

Safe Louie saying Desharnais did the right thing there.
I would vote for tying up the Canuck on the doorstep aside from puck watching, but hey, that’s just me.

Started with piss and vinegar
But as soon as we gave up the TYING goal… it’s like the whole roster just sank like they already lost. Very sad looking body language on the players. No idea how ya fix that. Definitely something wrong team attitude wise.

I honestly don’t understand how Dustin Schwartz still has a job all these years. Would you think just from the laws of averages we would hit on a goalie but it seems like whoever spends a significant amount of time with him they get progressively worse as a goalie.

Oilers management must be at the point of justifying why he’s still here to the point it’s impossible to fire by now.

Skinner is constantly sliding out of position. Was he told by Schwartz to model his goaltending off a table hockey goalie being controlled by someone with Parkinson's?

McDavid has no flash skating wise.
Draisatl is trying to do everything himself, not passing, weak shots.

It's kind of ridiculous how much more useful Gags looks in the offensive zone than almost all our other players.
Supports the "there is something in the water" theory. Some cumulative degenerative decay from the Edmonton water.

Desharnais really likes to make himself seen after we score. Own goal right after first oilers goal. Takes a penalty right after the 2nd.

Why did Bouchard pinch when the Canuck player had the puck? What was he thinking?
So this is what hope feels like?

Fun fact about the water supply north of Rogers' Place: there are so many people urinating in the area the occasional ground fault occurs.
Please do not feed the bears. Feeding the bears creates a dependent population unable to survive on their own. Bears.

Hard gambling by D seems to be an Oilers thing? Not sure. Ceci does it constantly too.
Dunno what these players are thinking anymore. Or if they are even thinking.

To be honest, the team drinking homeless person urine constantly would explain a lot. Could explain everything actually

I love Connor McDavid. I have dress socks with his face on them. I have a t-shirt with the exact GQ modeling pose in the picture of my avatar. I have a life size cardboard cutout that went to my bachelor party and subsequently became a greeter at our wedding.
But I’d like to see some leadership, some rage, some rallying on the bench…something more than sadface.
