BRUINS LOSE. BRUINS LOSE.
Skinner kinda makes up for first period faux pas...
...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

This past 4 years has to be the worst generation/wave of NHL officials I’ve witnessed since I have been watching hockey.
And I’m pretty old.

Gawd, that felt like a playoff game. The ESPN crew pointed out McDavid's body language seeming frustrated out there.
Gutsy. Gotta take it on to TO.

DO...YOU...BELIEVE!?!?
Weird game. All the goals for us were really bad errors. Skinner had his own goof. Empty net was a circus.
Still, a big win.

It was weird. I was distracted at times, but I can’t tell if our D was stellar or the Bruins offence was weak. I can’t help but feel the Oilers might have won this game with Matt Berlin in net.

Great game. Skinner played well when he needed.
I'm concerned about McDavid's leg...I know he played the end of the game but that was the same leg that Knee-ordano took out.
Hope it just needs a good night's rest.
Clean house or bust

I didn't predict a win and really didn't see this happening after the 1st period, but helluva win against the best team in the league.
Feather in the cap for the team's bottom 6 that played well, Bruins kept the top 6 pretty much off the sheet. Couple goals from D.
Didn't see who got 3 stars but Skinner played really well after giving up a soft one and giving one away. I thought Ekholm and Nurse had strong games. The D played well in general I thought, although the breakout sucked at times...but a lot of that was fwds looking for stretch passes.
Anyway, satisfying win and 2 points out of a building where it wasn't expected.

He was out after that again wasn't he? I thought he was out there and had a shot at an EN really late.

I missed the 3rd. How bad was the knee on knee?
Not naming names, but someone predicted an injury in the pregame thread.
97 needs to be healthy. I can only imagine they’re being ultra careful with him. Rest him until he’s 100%.

looked awkward, but I don't think it was a hard knee on knee contact. The hit was more to the side of the knee/leg.
Can't really blame Ryan, he's trying to play defense. McDavid cuts into his path calling to the bench, but still puck watching for whatever reason.

Darnell Nurse??? Darnell Nurse!!!!
Gutsy way to battle back...great contributions from the D and bottom 6.
Gotta thank the Sens for beating Seattle in regulation yet the Kings/Vegas somehow win in their tougher matchups.
I'll be blacked out for Sat night's game unfortunately....unless I shell out a boatload of money for Sling TV to get access to the NHL network haha. Hoping they have a free 7 day trial...

Big win!!
I thought this was a Mike Smith game. 2 bad goals to start then Skinner shuts the door. Kind of a boring game for 2 periods as it was a lot of neutral zone stuff but then they took it too them and got a huge win.
Nice to see 3 guys who haven't scored in a long time get goals.

There are a few options listed in the OT forum ;)
That's what I use to watch most games, since most of them are blacked out for me here too.

NHL official game sheet says the 3 stars in house were
1. Nurse
2. McLeod
3. Pastrnak
I don't know why Sportsnet insists on choosing their own.

Assuming the Oilers go 12-6 next game, do you bench Ryan for Kostin? His hit on McD could have destroyed their season. Lessons need to be learned with the lesson being if you are on the ice with McD, you get the hell out of his way. If you blow out a knee jumping out of McD's way, well that's tough but thank you for your service.

The oilers have to have set a record for the most goals allowed on first shots of the game. Not just this year... but amazingly all the way back through Scrivens, Talbot, Dubnyk, Deslaurier, Khabiboulin, Smith, Koskinen... amazing. Maybe the woes to our goaltending has always just been how they warm up.

I don't watch Flames games, but it sounds like Markstrom has been targeting that record this season.

Boston was suffocating play the entire game, the 3 times they failed and the Oilers scored. 3 players on McDavid, 2 on Drai, the dump ins were maddening, but often that was the only play.
Then Ryan injured McD, I don't think that much, but enough that McD was feelin it.
How good was Ekholm? How good? He was a tank! Man he's bee a refreshing player to get.
It was a litmus test on the Oilers and I was surprised they passed, they ground it out. Very thrilled with the win!
The very definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing expecting different results.
Generally Disappointed.

I have to say, and I know it's still early but, Ekholm has just effortlessly slide into the Oilers defense and been outstanding. He's exactly what they needed. If the team is going to step up and pay significant assets for a player, you want him to give you exactly what you were hoping for and he has.

Encouraging win. Some nappy time in the 1st leading to 2 goals against but amazing rebound by the team to come all the way back against a team almost no one has come back against this year.

So with this win, by my calculations, the Oilers have now beaten every team in the league except:
New Jersey
Washington
Columbus
Los Angeles
Colorado
They'll get one more shot against Colorado and two more against Los Angeles.
They do have OT losses to the Avs and BJs, so the've only been completely shut out in points against the Devils, Caps, and Kings.
Definitely think this team could beat any team they may meet in the playoffs.

I kind of hope we don't play the Kings this year. Despite their decidedly mediocre coach, we seem to play down against them. We made it close last year when it shouldn't have been, and I almost get the feeling our coach has a weird hang-up about his old mentor Todd McLellan, even though Todd's never been able to outcoach anyone in a seven-game series.

Rest of the league better take note. When we are getting good goaltending from Skinner we are a dangerous team
