Campbell just doesn't want to get over 0.890 on the season
Really need to get this one back.

Gotta say, Derek Ryan had been a useful player this year.
Refs are trying their best to keep the Oilers off the PP here.

I will be interested in seeing if the team does make a move for a top D-man by or before the deadline, because this group isn't going to help them win a Cup. Campbell got to pull their bacon out of the fire after they gave up a 2-on-1 in a bizarre fashion.

2 on 1 shot was shot to middle of the net along the ice right into campbell, so luck involved too. But nice to the team to work hard all night to be able to climb back into it.

Yeah, he’s certainly not for everyone.
He really gets to me. Then I listen to Harnarayan Singh a couple games and I’ve had enough of that. Need a real good PBP to emerge.

I like Jack. At least he doesn't sound like he popped a couple valium before the game like so many of them today. He does seem more geared towards a radio style of presentation. He could stand to talk a little less on a tv broadcast. Singh just flat out sucks imo.

Interesting--I actually really disliked Michaels when he was doing the games on the radio. His tendency for long winded digressions is not what you want when you can't see the action. I would silently scream at the radio "Buddy, I can't see the game and am relying on you for the description. Stop going on unrelated tangents and tell me what's happening". The worst was his goal calls. After being so used to Rod Phillips' emphatic "SCORES", it was hard to adapt to Michaels, who would sometimes call goals with such casualness it took a few seconds for you to realize someone had scored.
Now that he's on TV, I find his style much more suited to that medium, since I don't mind now when he does his digressions, since I can see the game and don't need him to hold my hand through the play by play. I can also see when a goal is scored so it doesn't matter so much how he calls it. Now I can more easily enjoy (or not) his digressions while I watch the game.

Singh is fine to me. Not great.
Jack is not good. Combined with Louie, they annoy me with the constant water carrying. The point against Montreal when Jack literally said that it's just really hard to play a team who's missing half their starters ... I mean, sure, they are unknowns and they're hungry, but we got scored on by a guy who's spent 10 years in the AHL. It was a miserable game, and trying to put lipstick on every pig is just not something I need to hear.
And it's not quite as bad with Louie as the colour guy, but with Stauffer, the team tends to go on just weird tangents where they spend 30 seconds talking about wrestling or TV shows from the 70s or other things that have nothing to do with the game. A single analogy would be one thing, but a long rambling story while the play is going on? Why???
I think we could use an upgrade at PBP guy, although I'll be honest, it's waaaay down my wishlist of changes for the Oilers.
"Thinking that a bad team's best players are the reason the team is bad is the "Tambellini re-signing Lennart Petrell" of sports opinions." @Woodguy55

Jack is good when there’s a loose puck around the blue paint.
No other time.
