Fortunately this game is not the TNT / ESPN national game so it'll start mostly on time.
The Oilers are leaving the squishy soft schedule stretch. Since the debacle against the Kings the Oilers have played 12 games (2 against playoff teams) putting up a 9-1-2 record, which is pretty gosh darn good. But they might as well make it 10 tonight because starting Friday their next 13 is:
vs NYR
at Denver
vs Philly
at Pittsburgh
at CBJ
vs Boston
vs Toronto
vs Winnipeg
at Winnipeg
at Buffalo
at Boston
at Toronto
vs Dallas
Why the NHL scheduled a one game road trip to Denver, a two game trip to the eastern time zone, and a three game road trip to the east coast is beyond me. It's about to get a lot tougher for the Oilers.

Please do not feed the bears. Feeding the bears creates a dependent population unable to survive on their own. Bears.

When you combine the Montreal debacle with the tough upcoming schedule, tonight feels like a must-win.

It's the second half of a Sportsnet national double header. Start time officially 7:30 which is 1/2 hr later than normal. Game won't start until 7:50 because Leafs. Got to satisfy the company headquartered at the centre of the universe.

Even if there is nothing going on,they need time for Principe, so a 7:30 puck drop is in reality closer to 7:45. Every time.
