Connor can get blackout for his birthday after a win tomorrow night. Huge two points.

Good, solid win over a weaker team. The OIL have lost to a lot of weaker teams this year so it was nice to see them get the job done.

The only negative for me was that Woodcroft has got to know that McD secretly wants to get at least one more goal this year than Matthews from last year. I know I do. Woody isn't helping that happen by sitting 97 for most of the last half of the 3rd.
McD is at the peak of his powers now. Playing a back to back shouldn't be much of an issue for him. icon_nod

...this time, it's for real (isn't it?).

Tomorrow is more important than a hattrick. Heck, he can get 3 against the Kinights to make up for the lost opportunity.

Keep banking these 2 points.

Didn’t get to watch this one, but love seeing 3 McPoints including 2 goals, and another 3 points for RNH (finally living up to his draft position a decade later?) 50% on the PP and 100% on the PK also awesome to see.

But best numbers to see: Campbell 25 saves for a .962! Crappy they couldn’t get him the SO, but that was his best save % in a full game all year. 2 in a row over .910. Only the second time he’s done that - last time was Oct 22 and 24.

Anyway - for those that watched it, how did Campbell play? I did see that highlight reel save on Vlasic! Wow - his best of the year? Man, how awesome would it be for him to regain his confidence and swagger and to have Oct-Dec 2021 Jack Campbell resurface? Last year, his first 2 months he had 18 of 20 games at over .900 including 4 shutouts. At that stage he was #1 in wins, #1 in save % with .942, #1 in GAA with 1.78. Something close to that could quickly change this team’s fortunes (we still need help on the blueline)

Campbell made the routine saves look routine and had a few big time saves. Exactly what we hoped for when he signed here. Hopefully this is a turning point in his season and will be happening more often than not.

Oilers aside from a couple plays really limited the scoring chances against. Good game against a bad team.

I think Nuge finally has a chance to play forward. Most of his career so far has been with wingers that can't defend, making him default to the responsible one on the ice.
