Leon launches his re-election campaign for Mayor of Nashville.

The great Nurse with another minus! Sure lucky he can play 30 minutes a game.

I didnt sit down in time for the first goal so not sure if Nurse actually made a mistake or not.
That said;
I have good news. The announcers mentioned it, in passing, but Nurse jumping into the lane played a huge role in the space opening up for both the pass and finish on the goal.
I would estimate there are less than 25 d-men in the league who make that read, jump into the play with enough speed to catch up and are enough of a threat the opposition have to pay attention.
Without that awareness and ability the odds of that goal go down significantly.
Nurse isn't perfect, but you can't cherry pick a GA without respecting the contributions he makes as well.
As I type this, Nurse's puck awareness, holding the blue line and keeping the play alive leads to another Kane goal.

Barrie with an impressive KRussell type play to nullify a 2 on 1.

Outside of allowing the first goal the Oilers are dominating this period. I will be curious to see the possession/zone time stats

He is almost perfectly mirroring Smith's results. He seems to get the extra run support so he is able to play mediocre and still get wins. Skinner needs to be near flawless to win which is usually how it was for Kostko.

They were upset he missed!
Also where is the continued anti-Nurse rant? It’s been so long since we’ve heard one…

Tough to pick holes in a game where he has played so well!

Nemo gets a bit better every game. I would be really surprised if every stat, fancy or otherwise, show he has had a heck of a game.
As confidence and comfort grow he is developing into a very effective player.

Campbell is not good, Barrie needs to sit for a few games... and our PK is a train wreck.
Drai needs to clear the zone there. Come on man.

I am no fan of Barrie but he seemed to be having a better game today.

Class shown by both Connor and Dr Drai to let Kane get the hattie. Great stuff.

Stu is clearly our No.1 ...salary should not decide playing time. Barrie and the PK are hard to watch. Nurse had a good game. Peace out.

I'm glad the Oil are winning, but what is Campbell's save percentage this season after this game? He's not playing great at all.

I’m more concerned about the PK than about Campbell so far. We are lucky our PP is doing so well, because we really try to give it back every time we take a penalty. They need some tweaks there either in strategy or personnel.
